Dark Mode is an extension that helps you quickly turn the screen (browser) to dark at night time.
Toolbar button serves as an ON|OFF switch which enables you to easily and quickly turn the extension ON or OFF. If you do not like the current dark theme, please visit the options page and choose a different theme from over 50 available options.
There is also a white-list feature which enables you to exclude a desired domain from dark mode. Simply add a domain(s) to the designated area (comma separated) in the options page and the websites will be excluded from night mode. Alternatively, you can use the context-menu item in mouse right-click to exclude desired websites.
To report bugs, please fill out the bug report form on the add-on's homepage (https://mybrowseraddon.com/dark-mode.html).

- (2024-11-10) Sabrina Ergert: Bis zur Version 0.4.5 war alles in Ordnung mit dieser Erweiterung. Jetzt ist die Wikipedia Medienseite hell und bei Amazon ist die Leiste mit den alternativen Anbietern einer Ware ebenfalls hell und man sieht nicht mehr was man eintippt ins Suchfeld bei Amazon. Schade das es hier keinerlei Möglichkeiten gibt zum downgraden auf die Version 0.4.5 wie bei Firefox. Dort habe ich downgegradet und jede weitere Aktualisierung dieser Erweiterung in den Einstellungen untersagt. Weiß jemand wo ich eine frühere Version dieser Erweiterung finde damit wieder alles glatt läuft?
- (2024-05-29) Michiel: Gebruik het al jaren, maar heb mijn Google moeten resetten en sinds toen werkt de extensie niet meer, ook niet na verwijderen, herstarten, etc. Zeer jammer want standaard Google maakt de zoekbalk niet zwart.

- (2023-11-01) William Fernandez: Looks good, I originally took this to make the minesweeper website more tolerable. But when I used it, it made the asset of the flag not appear, the game still recognized that I had a flag there, but the flag sprite doesn't appear. Sad :(
- (2023-10-29) Jenn Depsycho: LOVE this extension. It makes so many sites so much more tolerable on my eyes. Before going Dark, I had to limit my screen time and adjust the brightness if I needed to work on-screen for 8+ hours for my job. Now, Dark Mode makes that a thing of the past. Eye strain doesn't even begin setting in until maybe the 6-hour mark at the soonest, wheras normal mode would get me within less than an hour, if I didn't tweak the brightness. I don't need to tweak anything with Dark Mode, it has me covered for that. Everyone who experiences eye strain and sensitivity to light should at least give Dark Mode a try and see - and feel - the difference for yourself!

- (2023-09-30) J. Jektvik: Why does it affect page load even when disabled ? Haven't been able to access router's login page, took a while but eventually pinpointed the problem to exactly this extension. For some reason it started breaking things (js error) even when the extension was toggled off.

Once I removed the plug in from the extensions bank I was again able to reach the log in window on Shutterfly.com. This is inconvenient because I use the dark mode quite often to help with my vision. Please patch and re-deploy. Thank you.

But there is another big advantage - this is a video setup that was provided by the developers. It is so clear and comprehensive that even a beginner will be able to master all the functions of this extension very quickly. I also appreciated the intuitive interface and simple instructions. - (2023-05-19) Rafael Moreira: This is by far the best extension out of all the many I've tested. In all others, many errors occur and crash on many sites.

Although you can write a custom dark theme, it would be useful to have an option to add extra customisations to an existing theme, or use an existing theme in addition to the custom, or bring all the coding for the previously selected theme into the custom to modify it.
- (2023-05-05) Mathew DiPinto: It looks good on most websites except it does weird things with some colors on some sites so I decided to turn it off and delete it but its still making all websites I go to still in dark mode, I tried to reinstall, turn off and on, delete and reboot computer but it still wont go away. I don't know what to do to fix it
