• (2025-07-14) I just tried and tested a Collection save, close, and open. 10 tab groups and nested tab groups gone in an instant. All the tabs are back, but flat. Does this not support grouped tabs? I should have tested on a test session. Just assumed grouped tabs would be retained. Fortunately Chrome has Group Back up. I guess technically, with the latest Group saves in Chrome, you can just control sessions with groups now to a certain degree. Perhaps no snapshots or group history present there yet....

• (2025-07-08) I am a Chinese user. Why do I never get any results when I search for the name of a tab? There is nothing. I can only search for URLs, but I can't possibly know what each URL is called. Please Help me

• (2025-06-24) Really good, but needs some work. Every time I try to find the list of snapshots I forget the arcane click sequence to do it. Also can't remove tabs lists. These are niggles though, the extension is extremely useful.

• (2025-06-09) This is a great program that I recommend to everyone. I just wish there was a premium version for $25 a year or something that offered saving my sessions to the cloud or the program stored my sessions in the documents folder that gets backed up to onedrive.

• (2025-06-07) Incredibly unstable. Upon use it lost nearly 170 tabs, instead just picking a handful and duplicating them 170 times. Don't download. Or if you do, don't count on it.
• (2025-06-07) Amazing app this is the exact app I was looking for, I always used the group feature in browser which ends up taking unnecessary memory for keeping it alive after I came across this app I found out that I can store it without wasting my resources and ever since this then there aren't any lags in my browser. Thanks for creating this amazing app and making it free. If I were to suggest any feature to be added Firstly I recommend adding a move to option in the main window of sessionbuddy It doesn't have a move the tabs to already saved collection which makes it a hassle to copy the links and paste it on the collection then try adding a sync option which syncs the saved/collection of tabs in Gdrive or any other cloud storage which might come in handy incase of any data loss or will be useful to sync across many devices.
• (2025-06-06) After session manager stopped working I never really look for another option, I'm glad I took a second to google and find this, great stuff guys, if I can suggest adding a drag and drop feature to include links from a current session into a folder that would be great, also a way to export would be great too (you may have this already I just haven't found it yet)

Plenty of functionality and there is a back-up function as well, but never lost my saved data since I began using it, but back-up anyhow just in case the unexpected happens. • (2025-05-13) Plenty of issues listed below, for me, cannot organise the tabs in a 'collection' by dragging them up or down the list, or even a right click option, similarly, you can move a tab to a new collection, but not to an existing one, which defeats the purpose of having a collection... waste of time
• (2025-05-10) I’ve lost over a 2 years worth of saved sessions after a recent Session Buddy update—and there was no warning, backup, or reliable recovery method. Everything just vanished. I followed their support documentation but nothing worked. The fact that such critical data isn’t synced or backed up is shocking. This experience has been extremely frustrating and costly. I trusted Session Buddy to manage my research and saved sessions, but it failed me completely. If you value your browsing data, do not trust this app—it offers no reliable backup and can wipe out everything without warning.
• (2025-05-10) the higher the edition the less functional and less features ..becoming unreliable works with some browsers but not others (firefox and yandex)
• (2025-05-08) Out of the blue the extension has wiped out all of my saved sessions of years without warning. They are nowhere to be found, even after following the dev's convoluted instructions posted on the internet in an attempt to recover them. The users shouldn't have to be put through the hassle of scouring for their saved sessions and collections in the first place - isn't the extension's purpose to supposedly save all that for you so you wouldn't have to struggle? Saved sessions, collections and all data should transfer automatically with every update and not wipe everything out. All of this proves this is a dysfunctional, untrustworthy extension. Excuses by the dev, not taking accountability and indirectly blaming the users instead. Edit: Like I said, "without warning". And just now, May 8th 2025 I lost all of my sessions AGAIN after restarting my computer. Removing this useless unreliable extension.

• (2025-05-03) Worked great now it works like trash if you have a ton of tabs open it loads about half of them and if you try to save a session it saves maybe 3/4 of them it also unreliably records window closes. It was great but its pretty awful now

• (2025-04-28) Disappeared from chrome randomly, couldn't reinstall, took its data with it. Today it shows back up like I installed it but guess what, all my saved sessions, years of various research projects, software development resources, tools, real work is just gone. I scoured my computer trying to recover the data but it's just gone. This sort of thing has happened more than once. This would be a fantastic resource, if I could trust it. The most important consideration for any data management tool is data preservation at all costs. The last thing that should disappear even if Google nukes the extension (this is my suspicion) is the user data. I would seriously recommend you do not trust this extension with anything important.
• (2025-04-26) How can an update take the software back to the stone ages? Where are all the old features? Why can't I delete single tabs from saved windows anymore? This is not an upgrade. It's a downgrade. Shame on the product managers/devs for killing a perfectly fine extension I am positive that this was intentional because these basic features are now probably going to be hidden behind a paywall. In which case, I hope all users abandon this ship. Edit: And now all my data is gone. Thankfully I take regular backups but user data being entirely wiped out because of poor design/implementation should be unheard of for an extension used by so many people. Time to jump ship. This is embarrassing. Edit: YOU GUYS MANAGED TO DO IT AGAIN?? WHY ON EARTH DO YOU ISSUE "UPDATES" WHEN ALL THAT YOUR "UPDATE" IS DOING IS DELETING ALL DATA. Maybe try getting the basics right eh? Or fire your devs.

• (2025-04-22) Fantastic free tab organizer, doesn't heavily limit functionality behind paywalls, insist on being on your home page. I do hope for device syncing & the ability to organize tabs within a collection in the future, but as it stands still a great option :D

• (2025-04-17) Mind change after I lost YEARS worth of hard work. No notice from the developers as to when an upgrade / new version was to be installed. I could just cry. Horrible, horrible experience!
• (2025-04-14) Second time, within a year, I've lost off my sessions. First time support helped me, but know they ignore my emails. Don't ever trust this extensions!

Awful redesign, and not only to the eyes, an actual Downgrade, before history didn't have limit, and you could watch something you did a year ago just for the fun of it, now it even closes history then you save an entry and if you have a lot you need to scroll forever and press Show more like 10+ times, also thanks for deleting my previous history which I had like for 2-2.5 years it really help me understand that a man who tested and approved it is an idiot, also man who even pushed for this downgrade should be fired, I'm switching to Tabmanager.io for now at least they didn't have stupid limit on tab history yet.(I'll update if I find something better) upd: just back to "save -> all tabs", did like tabmanager and didn't found another manager that feels convenient to use

• (2025-04-10) A N: I believe I've been using Session Buddy for over 10 years now. I love it, however invariably the extension becomes corrupt in Chrome, I repair it, and then lose all my saved sessions... which defeats the point. If you don't export your sessions regularly, they will eventually be lost. I would pay good money if you guys would just finally introduce a cloud sync option - even just for "premium" subscribers. Please !!!! The amount of storage you'd need per user is minimal if you're just storing URLs... its been over a decade, I love you guys but PLEASE think about introducing this feature already. It is way overdue...
