Description from store Hide unwanted streams, games, categories, channels and tags on: twitch.tv Important Note: This is a best-effort approach to dealing with Twitch's different website views and has always been an arms race. It's not perfect and it will never be. If you expect the extension to always work flawlessly, don't even bother installing it. Know and understand the limits. Features - hide unwanted categories/games - hide unwanted channels/streams - hide unwanted tags - hide stream reruns - hide streams based on their title - filtering on "Following" page can be disabled (in settings) - toggle visibility of "X" buttons - share blacklists using import/export (in settings) - blacklist can automatically sync between devices (in settings, requires opt-in) - one-click-toggle to disable/enable extension (click on the extension icon to access) - compatible with FrankerFaceZ (FFZ) and other popular extensions for Twitch - supports Twitch's Dark Mode - supports pattern matching and regular expressions for dynamic blacklisting Supported pages - Browse: Categories - Browse: Live Channels - Game: Live Channels (preview slider is not filtered) - Game: Videos - Game: Clips - Frontpage/Discover (carousel is not filtered) - Explore Gaming/IRL/Music/Creative/Esports - Following - Sidebar (filtering only, no buttons to add items to the blacklist) - you can still access any blacklisted content via direct link Note about breaking changes on twitch.tv Twitch is infamous for changing their website without further notice, which may break this extension over night. Twitch also serves different canary builds (previews of potential future versions) to selected/random users for up to 4 weeks, which most likely break parts of the extension. If you notice pages no longer working properly, disable the extension, report the issue¹ and wait for an update. Note that updates may take a few days to be approved on the corresponding browser stores. • (2025-06-21) Affen Gesicht: Stopped working
  • (2025-05-30) Dillan Moss: Hey dev, any word on the rollout of the next update? You haven't said anything since March and the extension is still broken.
  • (2025-05-28) Jim_lahey024 Cx: working for me love it
  • (2025-05-18) Ujjal Singh: Without this extension, Twitch is 90% Vtubers and furries and... mentally ill gender cosplayers. This extension helped me keep Twitch sane by ignoring all the weirdos and deviants. But it doesn't work anymore. If this were updated and fixed, I'd gladly give it 5 stars. I hope the dev still cares about this project, or that someone will create an alternative.
  • (2025-05-09) Alex: It was great. But it doesn't work anymore, and now without it everything is filled with vtubers...
  • (2025-05-08) Jordan U: its been months now can we get a update to make it work with chrome?????
  • (2025-05-02) Adam Confer: It was great when it worked but it hasn't been working for weeks now, only gonna dock it 1* for that though because I assume it's Twitch's fault. It always is. lol
  • (2025-04-27) Muhammet Uyanık: kick.com support pls
  • (2025-04-22) Claude: Maybe I'm blind but I can't find the settings button? All other extensions I have added in chrome, I can find it but not for this one? I don't find it under extensions nor when I click on the icon itself in the extension toolbar. Where can change settings, toggle x feature etc.?
  • (2025-04-15) ポリオシス: needs an update. from the time i installed it, until recently (mid december 2024) has worked fine. But now am seeing channels/tags that would normally be hidden. In addition, some tags that I HAVE NOT blocked, no longer have the 'x' next to them to hide them if i wanted. EDIT: still having issues in April 2025. Still blocks some but not all stuff in my blacklist. Some channels with tags I have previously blocked still show in feed, and still have some tags that appear without the 'X' option on feed, regardless of the number of tags being shown under the channel. A refresh sometimes fixes this and sometimes doesnt.
  • (2025-04-10) JEC: working as described as of april 10 2025 i installed this addon, refreshed twitch, saw the little 'x' mark on a category (in my case 'world of warcraft'), clicked it, refreshed twitch again, and no more vids showing WoW not sure why so many reviews below are having trouble. it's literally plug and play. my guess is they're not refreshing twitch after installation so they think it's not working...
  • (2025-04-08) Vole On Mobile: Doesn't work and no "x" button.
  • (2025-04-04) doityharry: It only works when I'm logged out.
  • (2025-03-21) Marlon Gabriel dos Passos (marlooxy): Hello, thank you so much for the extension, i'm be using for months! idk if you saw but Twitch update some of their stuff, with that now the extension is not fully working anymore! First Channels got reset and was appearing again, so needed to blacklist them again, after that needed to blacklist a second time because of co-stream! In the "Browse - Live Channels" tab extension still works and the blocked channels doesn't show up for you. BUT when you click in a category; lets say "just chatting" or any other one all the channels appears again and theres no (x) option to hide them! so yeah, the update broke the extension... if you would be so kind on fixing for us, that would be Great! feels awful to go into that website and read some of the tags and see the face of some people you know! Thanks again ♥
  • (2025-03-20) Konstantinos Fanailidis: Greetings Developer! Great extension but I still can see the channels I blocked in the clips section and sometimes they show up in my suggestion left bar.
  • (2025-03-20) MM Miller: This is an absolute game-changer for Twitch users. Tons of powerful features. The interface is incredibly user-friendly simply click X to hide something, easy to navigate and customize. One of the standout features is the import/export functionality, which has been invaluable for backing up my settings. Over time, I've blacklisted a large number of categories (250), tags (2502), titles (712), and channels (8700), and the export feature has saved me countless times during updates or system changes. Blocking content by with dynamic filtering (powered by expression matching), ensures that unwanted content stays out of view without the hassle of having to manually add every single channel. (As much as tags do for content creators, it's been more helpful for me with simply filtering out streams to block with this extension). Plus, the developer is extremely responsive and consistently rolls out updates whenever Twitch makes changes. Anyone watching twitch that wants the option to filter out 90% of the 'noise' that fits your tastes, this is a must. Easily 5/5
  • (2025-03-19) Rip The Ripper: Was working up until yesterday. Today even after multiple times of removing/reinstalling the damn thing doesn't work at all.
  • (2025-03-18) Tim Somethin: currently broken, nothing is blocked at all
  • (2025-03-18) J “TheSHEEEP” D: Works fine for me, but it would be great if it also applied to the "xxxxx Viewers Also Watch" part of the side bar.
  • (2025-03-12) Akira ZXE: It works, albeit inconsistently, which I don't believe is the add-on's fault. Twitch doesn't want you blacklisting tags and makes it intentionally difficult by only making a handful of a channel's tags visible to you (and the add-on) at once.
  • (2025-03-10) Robert H: This is better than nothing because there is endless garbage on Twitch we have to sift through to find something interesting. There is also one for Kick! https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/igfcimdbfdoaaikcoenpfldkbjmcncdi?utm_source=item-share-cb
  • (2025-02-05) Brandon Main: When I first installed this it seemed to mostly work but then the next time I opened Twitch the blacklist button was gone until I uninstalled the addon and reinstalled it. Blacklist button is back but it is no longer filtering out anything I put in the black list. Sadly useless.
  • (2024-12-25) Jay: Still shows fat obese men that i have blocked, and categories with online prostitutes that i have also blocked.
  • (2024-12-23) Eaelast: Please Update! Still shows blocked channels sometimes i have to refresh the page everytime!
  • (2024-12-05) Vitor Moura: DONT WORK, ON SAVE THIS DONT SAVE AND CLOSE THE WINDOW OF CONFIGURATION
  • (2024-11-22) Aaron M.: I'm not sure if its just that I have over 3000 channels blocked or if the extension broke but now it'll show me a few streams but wont load anymore than a few streams under game categories. Edit: Things are working fine now!
  • (2024-11-19) I3 O R D O: after adding a channel, the save button closes the window, not necessary, could keep it open. Or instead have an "apply" button next to it, that saves but not closes the window. Can we right a channel and add it that way in the future?
  • (2024-11-16) Andrii Kornovan: Doesn't work. No changes to the blacklists get saved upon clicking the "Save" button.
  • (2024-10-06) Cardinalfan3000: Worked fine previously. Now i blocked Politics category and I see politic related channels being recommended to me on Twitch.
  • (2024-10-02) yolemon: It looks like this thing works after all.
  • (2024-08-06) Samantha: worked well up and great up until today, wouldnt show anything
  • (2024-07-15) Prove: doesnt save blacklists and hasnt been updated to fix it
  • (2024-06-08) Acidpope: Finally something to help combat the legion of people on tags I don't care to see. It's a disgrace Twitch doesn't have this feature. Hopefully in the future AI will be able to filter out the people who take part in these tags but don't put them on their channel, you still have to block that manually. This is a great start though.
  • (2024-06-07) Hayato Jin: I wish i had found this sooner, being able to block a lot of annoying streamers and games from showing up has made Twitch so much better, to the creator of this addon, i wish only good things for you! Year later, could not enjoy Twitch without it :)

  • (2024-06-06) Teal AV: Works as intended for me so far, no issues with saving any tags I add. When I refresh the page some streams with blocked tags will still show up for about 2 seconds, but then the plugin makes them disappear.
  • (2024-05-19) myUser: EDIT: anyone there? Please let me know what I'm doing wrong. Adding a channel to blacklist does not seem to do anything. Thanks.

  • (2024-05-06) David T: Thank God, now my screen isn't filled with soft core porn, or even worse - vtubers. 11/10
  • (2024-05-04) Rob: Great extension - does what it says after understanding supported patterns, only thing I would change is the colour of the 'Save' button only when you have an unsaved change, as it took me a few tries to realize there is a save button down there.
  • (2024-04-24) Kanariya Canary: Sometimes blacklist gets reset. I don't know why. but it happens. This problem has happened to me more than 5 times already, and it's extremely frustrating.
  • (2024-03-25) archzilla: works like a charm

  • (2024-03-17) Dean Aussie: Must have extension for Twitch, seriously just great! - Hide languages you so not speak - Hide topics you don't care about - Hide titles that have spammy nonsense Working as of March, 2024.
  • (2024-03-16) Mathew: Broken for now
  • (2024-03-10) Spectrumnist: IT DOES WORK (for now, will be testing more) FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Add channels/categories that you want to blacklist (DO NOT PRESS SAVE) 2. Export the .json file 3. Uninstall and reinstall the extension 4. Reopen the extension, import the .json file, THEN press save. I was able to hide 3 channels doing this. I am able to close out of the browser completely then reopen the browser, load up Twitch, and those 3 channels are still hidden. Checked the extension blacklist and it actually showed the channels like they had been saved there. I'll make an edit if this extension stops working.

  • (2024-02-18) Tom Sawyer: Doesn't work anymore. Trying to block a category and saving just removes it.
