IMO I don't like seeing video recommendations from youtube while I'm watching the video! why because youtube always recommending me these garbage videos whenever I watched any video and it always popped up on the third list! Yep very useful for getting rid of them! (I can't seems to get rid of playlist that keep showing up on my recommendation screen! PLEASE Update!!!!!!!)

- (2024-02-23) Stephen Frank: I was using DFtube until YouTube latest update a few days ago which not only made the extension to stop working but also increased the aggressiveness of the recommended video feeds. I started digging for a solution and found this extension which works good but the only problem for me is that it hides video comments section which I do enjoy reading I must confess. I didn't have that issue while using DFTube - as I could toggle video comments on - and would have gladly given this extension a 5 star if it had provided me with same functionality.

- (2024-01-13) Anna: Amazing extension. Once you try it, you can't go without it. Wanted to report a bug though. I have bookmarked Youtube on my bookmarks bar, and for some reason the extension causes the bookmark to get triggered by mouse hovering (without having to click on the bookmark). Some times I accidentally pass my mouse over it while dragging tabs and it is annoying that my page gets re-directed to Youtube. Wondering if anyone else has come across that.

- (2023-11-14) Rama Gakii: If you have challenges with focusing, this is the best extension for you. I saved a lot of time by turning it on. Now I am not addicted to clicking on recommendations or watching the next video. Thank you so much to the developer, and I encourage everyone to DONATE, this is an extremely helpful app if you want to FOCUS on one video and then go back to doing other productive matters.

YouTube is one of the best platforms to gain knowledge and learn new things but it's also the biggest entertainment website. It's very easy to get distracted by other things on YouTube and UnHook gives you a customisable way to block out any distractions.
