- Excellent and very useful extension, I love it. It helps me stay focused by removing distractions. One request to the developers: Shorts still appear in search results along with full-length videos. A complete removal of Shorts would make this unbeatable. Tip for users: I pair this with ProdYouctivity to block Shorts entirely. Highly recommended for anyone want to use Youtube mindfully.

- My main interest was in disabling live chat, in particular in full screen. I use Chrome browser. I have a livestream playlist of 200+ rail cams. I want the chat box to not pop up at all, when switching channels, in full screen mode. Tried the app and it worked one time, for 7 seconds. Then worked as app did not exist. Thanks for the effort.

- Hi. I gave it a 5 star but there should be a small change that has to be made. Change: If I search for something then youtube shorts actually appear even if I turned it off. Shorts wont appear on homepage but if I search something the shorts and the videos both appear in search results. Please try to make this change if possible.

- no transcripts! 'Show Transcript' content is blocked by the extension, which should show a full transcript on the right pannel.

- This extension does exactly what YouTube refuses to offer: control. Unhook turns YouTube back into a tool instead of a dopamine machine. No more homepage rabbit holes, sidebar distractions, autoplay traps, or Shorts pulling you in when you had a clear intention. What I appreciate most is that it does not break YouTube. - figured I might as well write a review since I've had this Chrome extension for years! you can customize YouTube almost exactly to your liking. you can turn it on and off at any moment which is great but the downside is that if you're trying to block shorts, your monkey brain can just turn it off and scroll again

- Great extension. I also want to report a bug that the option "Hide Explore, Trending" hides "You" section instead of "Explore" section. This might have caused by changes in the youtube home page design. Please fix. Thanks.

- I hate shorts, they ruined youtube and it feels so grate to have ability to regulate what is recomended to you. I remember youtube before all those new stupid features as a site that helps people post videos with different ideas and ideologies. TBH with each day i feel like i live in INFOmation bubble and can't escape it, this extantion helps, but sadly it is only for now and google will figure a way to block this extencion like they did with ADDblocks.

- Works amazing but Hide Endscreen Feed doesn't work. Probably something about an update Youtube did that changed the id of the things or whatever but yeah it doesn't work and it sucks because I turn into a monkey when I focus on work and I see cool picture and title I click and there goes another 20 minutes of my life I can't remember anything of tomorrow. I gave it 2 stars so this can get attention from them please fix it and I'll give you 5 stars and go on all my alts (I got a few😉) and give it 5 stars and donate and shoutout and reccomend to peoples and personally find you and give you a massage (unless you're a weirdo) and whatever you want thank you.

- Unhook works well for hiding most YouTube distractions, but there’s still one category it doesn’t remove: the recommendations that appear inside the video player itself. When a video ends, YouTube overlays a grid of suggested videos on top of the frame, and even with every Unhook toggle enabled, those thumbnails still show. The same happens with the small ^ icon (on the bottom of the video) that pops up on the video to reveal more suggestions. These elements seem to be part of the internal player layer rather than the page UI, so the extension doesn’t touch them yet. I rely on Unhook to keep YouTube clean and distraction-free, and this is the last major surface that still slips through. I’d love some help or guidance from the developers on whether these in-player overlays can be blocked in a future update.

- Been using for ages, polished and excellent app. A recent YouTube update broke endscreen video suggestions being hidden but updates breaking the extension a bit is unavoidable so no points deducted. Great for work use and personal use for different reasons.
