why would Chrome disable this?
Cannot pick a specific voice to speak with. very few options in there.
Free, unlimited word limit, no problems aside from some errors in pronouncing certain words. I think the negative reviews are review bombs from the popular ones that cost money
I like this extensions. It works better than many others for Text to Speech.
It's incredible! It does what it needs to do! It's easy simple and efective. I hope Chrome does't remove it from the store. It’s a 5-star, no-brainer.

If you need assistance reading text on all websites this is the help you need. But this application does not always read the whole highlighted text will pause and then stop reading.

I like how simple it is to use and the fact that it supports multiple languages. But why the hell can't it read numbers properly? It makes long pauses before the numbers and then repeats them multiple times.
╬ So far soooo good. simple and effective. my ONLY problem is that I'm having a hard time getting it to save settings and keep'em that way. I set rate of speech to 'fast' but it loves to constantly default back to 'normal'. If i could get it to stay on the 'fast' speech setting, then i would describe it as perfect. Less is more when it comes to certain tools and what you need from them. This one fits that category, as it does Exactly what you need, no more, no less. Works great & no unnecessary bloat included....something that's rare anymore. I could kiss the dev for being a decent human being on this spoken front. But since my kisses are for the misses, please settle for a well deserved...KUDOS! Kudos to the dev for getting it right! ╬ *(apprec, brodega!) **UPDATE**:(3.21.24) Still the best on(my) Win 11 PC(IMO of course), & light on resources too!

sin ventanas adicionales ni tonterías lo que subrayas te lo lee así de simple no como otras que se te abre una ventana y te sale como un traductor o blog de notas que lo que hace es molestarte este es simple y rápido y lo e usado durante años

Apesar do navegador Google Chrome ser excelente a extensão de voz do microsoft edge é bem superior contando com duas vozes diverentes ajuste de velocidade. em suma essa extensão é péssima apesar da proposta ser boa

Lê apenas algumas linhas 10 ou 15 , ao longo do tempo para de funcionar. a ideia é boa. mas falta um pequeno polimento na continuação. sugiro re fazer a tela de configuração para algo mais dinâmico incluir um select bar para velocidade.

Foi legal a leitura, mas a voz é péssima! A extensão deveria permitir escolhermos outra - essa que SEMPRE vem nas legendas de filmetes no TikTok ou Instagram é de lascar ... cansou já.

Playback does glitch or stall at times but i'm ok with that. I generate long form content such as summaries, outlines, articles, etc in ChatGPT. Having this extension to assist me with editing has been a game changer 😊

me gusto pero me gustaria que hubiera una extencion de modificacion de voz tono, de vol, y de tipo de reproduccion. como pausa ,stop,play... etc... solo esp
No le pongo 0 porque no se puede, es una perdida de tiempo. Lo probe en pdf y me cambia la voz a ingles. Vuelvo y la pongo en español y este se resetea y vuelve al ingles. Instalenla si quieren estresarse.

1- deveria ter a opção de deixar mais rápido a leitura; 2- toda hora tenha que mudar o idioma para português
Acho que poderiam acrescentar botão de velocidade tipo as opções de velocidade ao ver um video no youtube...
A extensão "Talkie" fala em pt-br. Esta aqui é boa para quem precisa só de inglês.

Dla mnie rewelacja. Zaznaczam tekst i robię cos innego a lektor czyta, super sprawa. No i jest to bardzo dobre tłumaczenie, dobrze się słucha, nie trzeba się zastanawiać.
Liest Deutsche Text immer nur auf Englisch vor, was sich natürlich grauslich anhört und man versteht nichts, obwohl ich in den Optionen "Deutsch" eingestellt habe. Kann man also vergessen.
La entonacion de la voz es insoportable y no se puede cambiar. Ademas en tramos de mas de un parrafo se traba.
