Automatically suspend (hibernate) inactive tabs to free up system resources
Tab Suspender extension automatically unload (kill/hibernate) inactive tabs. This action can free up your browser memory usage.
When there are too many open tabs, your browser needs to keep their data in memory; besides, background scripts are always running. Using this extension you can define a custom time-period for inactive tabs to go to hibernate state and hence do no use memory or any kind of resources at all.
Tab Suspender accepts following exceptions for your convenience:
1. Do not suspend pinned tabs
2. Do not suspend tabs that contain unsaved form inputs
3. Only auto-suspend if connected to the internet
4. Only auto-suspend if running on battery (if battery API is available)
5. Automatically unsuspend when tab gains focus
6. Open a new tab in suspend mode

- (2018-09-16) Andrey Sidorov: I had dozens of suspended tabs when tried to remove this extension from chrome. After removing extension it closed all of my suspended tabs and I can't restore any of them with "Reopen Closed Tab". Piece of garbage.
- (2018-08-15) Works nicely, thank you.
- (2018-06-03) Aume RRPMP: As amazingly useful as always. My only point is that in firefox it is possible to suspend a tab with right click menu and in google it isn't, i find it less user friendly.

- (2017-11-03) Liviu Rafael Nichiforiuc: It would have 5 stars as far as settings and look goes, but i only give it 1 star because it did not suspend any pages at all when choosing to manually suspend on my Chrome. This defect for this extension makes it no good at all.
- (2017-10-28) JNeal134: Not working after last update. Just getting black screen instead of suspended tab page
- (2017-10-16) Doctor M.: doesn't always work right
- (2017-10-05) James van der Hoven: Great, until it started asking for permissions that clearly are not needed. Why would you need permission to change my bookmarks.
Parabéns a equipe.
- (2016-11-23) Azure Phoenix: It works. But the timer setting seems broken. Automatically suspend tabs after (in minutes):X minute doesn't seem to work properly I put 20 minutes, yet tabs get unloaded a lot sooner than that. When I just opened Chrome and waited for the initial page to load, the extension unloaded that tab/page. Did I used the setting properly?
