  • (2025-07-08) Lorene Moore: When it works, it's great. Currently, it is defining the highlighted word.
  • (2025-07-04) Євгения Медведева: useful
  • (2025-06-10) Jerold Randolph: This is a great tool. 4.25 stars is probably more accurate. Adding word origin, hypernym (and the missing alike), when/where a specific word is primarily used, etc (or a movement towards this heightened ability), would earn 5 stars.
  • (2025-05-23) Regan Devereaux: i may have already written a review when i first found this exceptional extension/app, but i'm happy to endorse power thesaurus free and the pro-membership which i purchased immediately upon finding this truly outstanding app. i am a word nerd, in several languages, and proud of it! i simply could not believe my eyes when first landing on their page whilst searching up synonyms. this app not only gives the most thorough list of synonyms it also expands in 3 dimensions by providing context, example sentences and a plethora of options to make the absolute most of every inquiry. i honestly have to watch myself because i could spend all day going down delightful rabbit holes on this platform! keep up the great work development team and fellow consumers...don't even bother looking for a language tool superior to Power Thesaurus..it does not exist. • (2025-05-20) Md Shakil Ahamed: very helpful
  • (2025-05-14) Anna Okouromi: actually really decent
  • (2025-03-21) Ben Katragadda: Yes, yes, yes. It make wording gooder.
  • (2025-03-17) David Instone-Brewer: I love having synonyms so quickly available, with minimal interruption to my flow. The list of other features is amazing, including functions I hadn't thought of, such as 'narrower', or 'sound like'. The options are good - sometimes I want popups on the page and other times this is distracting. Great!
  • (2025-02-17) Fran Jrm: This service (extension or website) is great, especially if you are not a native speaker and want to boost your vocabulary. A major advantage is that the extension is fast, clear, efficient and unobtrusive while offering numerous features. I have some ideas for potential new features :) - details about the etymology of words - hints on how a word is used: is it formal, casual, slang, technical, or out-fashioned, obsolete, or antiquated.
  • (2025-02-01) hantun zaw (Michael): Really Nice to use and easy to find definition, synonym and antonym. Simple easy to use it 🤍
  • (2025-01-27) Triết Trương: Like it! Simply displaying definition, synonym and antonym is too good to me.
  • (2025-01-17) Solar Zaffiro: good
  • (2024-12-22) Peter Kennedy: Thesaurus-es are a strNGE BREED AS a repository for commonly used (and the occasional 'blue monster'. I use yours to help with rhymes. It functions as it should, and I am comforted by its constant in my hip pocket-- Or if you wish, in a corner of my home page. Peter Kennedy MD

  • (2024-11-12) Mitchell McClure: Other than having to always reload GMail efore it works in a new message, it's an excellent extension.
  • (2024-10-25) Fazle rabby Rabby: very useful and good working
  • (2024-10-24) DK Adivasi: I like it :)
  • (2024-10-20) tomaccino: I'm a writer and non-native English speaker and it has become tiresome to constantly search for word meanings or synonyms via search engines. This extension simplifies word learning with a simpler pop-up. Great tool, I should have searched for it sooner!
  • (2024-10-15) Jennifer Gaab: This extension doesn't seem to be working. When I try to search for any terms, I get "no results". Even for words like "see" which I know has many synonyms. I also don't get the blue icon when I right click on a word. I've tried checking the settings and making sure the "pop up icon" is switched on. When it works, it's a great resource!
  • (2024-09-28) Mary: I've been away from the extension for a while since I haven't had access to my laptop. What happened to the feature where you could right-click on and just get the list of synonyms or antonyms whichever you decided you want to pick? It was straightforward and easy and that doesn't seem to be available anymore.
  • (2024-09-10) Alejandro Juliao Barrios: it doesent have fish
  • (2024-09-10) Paris Lloyd: the icon with synonyms that used to pop-up when i highlight words has stopped popping up, even after deleting and reinstalling the extension
  • (2024-09-09) Achref: I used to love this product before is adjusted permission to "read and use all data on all websites". The product was working perfectly fine the whole time. The ONLY possible reason for this is the attempt to illegitimately use user data and browser history. It's so frustrating - because it's a great product, but I wish the thesaurus was on the side or something less intrusive.
  • (2024-09-08) Tyler Munro: Amazing! Exactly what I was looking for! Really convenient, especially when you attach it to a shortcut, I have ctrl^space as mine, its soooo good and easy! I think you should make it so you can highlight a word, put in a shortcut, and it would find synonyms for the highlighted word.
  • (2024-08-31) Kay Chapman: The popup instructions are not good and when I tried to use it it found nothing. I like the concept of this Thesaurus.
  • (2024-08-19) Finn Shady (Finn): It is way too intrusive and I have to wait until the thesaurus "goes away" to type a paragraph. I used to love it. It also will occasionally open another page for extended thesaurus. It's so frustrating - because it's a great product, but I wish the thesaurus was on the side or something less intrusive.
  • (2024-08-12) Babu Kazi: very good extension. i love this one. thank you for give us good valuable extension.
  • (2024-08-08) Chris Rathbun: bad intrusive interference with my work in the middle of my writing
  • (2024-08-05) John Keller: bad intrusive interference with my work in the middle of my writing =--- it decides when you need help!!
  • (2024-08-04) Rick Rottman: I love this extension, but for some strange reason, it does not allow me to access an eBay store correctly. When I go to an eBay store with this extension active, the screen has a gray overlay and none of the links are accessible. As soon as I deactivate this extension, the eBay store correctly displays. When I reactivate this extension. the eBay store goes back to gray and the links are not accessible. I'm only giving this a one-star because I'm hoping the makers see this bug report. I did not see where I can report a bug using conventional means.
  • (2024-08-03) Mark Radyushin: Really good extension and helps me write interesting stories!
  • (2024-07-26) James Prather: This extension (and app!) is the dopest with the mostest. It has a WIDE array of synonyms. Much more than you'll get from Thesaurus.com or similar. Being crowdsourced, there's occasionally some goofy, off-the-wall, irrelevant synonyms, but those are few and far between and always obvious. I use this app every single day and gladly pay $4/month to not drive myself mad trying to think of "the" right word. Because of its abundance of synonyms, it's also a very inspiring extension/app in that seeing those unexpected substitutes simmers up ideas of their own. Can't recommend this site/app/extension highly enough. Especially for ADHDers!
  • (2024-07-08) Kevin Grajeda: Completely functional and I've never had a problem using this extension. The actual webpage is a little cluttered but the pop up is clean and works perfectly.
  • (2024-06-29) Synkling: I use this for all of my writing and I adore the new ability to simply click and change out a word! However, it seems I can no longer do so on Tumblr? Still a wonderful application, but I hope this isn't a permanent change!
  • (2024-06-27) Raanan A.: Useful, practical, reliable, accurate, user friendly and intuitive. Super useful for synonyms, antonyms, grammar, spelling, getting new ideas and brainstorming. I've been using Power Thesaurus for a long time and this is by far, the best thesaurus addon!
  • (2024-06-12) Jeff Fairchild: Very cool to be able to just highlight a word and replace it right away easily!
  • (2024-06-05) Geo Maria George: Found it recommended on a random FB group from half a decade ago when it was a website. Had been dutifully tagging along all my 20x2 tabs minimum through hours and days and years, but finally this extension took off the tab load and integrated it so beautiful in the extension that I just have to double-click to get the synonyms for anything and everything readable to the Chrome browser. In short, it's effing awesome, from a professional writer.
  • (2024-06-02) NeoJK (Jay Shikata): The extension is very helpful, thank you. However, my browser automatically disabled it after the "permission update". The permission update now: * Read your browsing history * Read and modify data that you copy and paste
  • (2024-06-02) Bob Kilroy: I love this! Power Thesaurus makes it so easy to find the right word. The time I spend writing can easily be half what it would be if I still had to sit there wracking my brain to think of the best way to word something. Seeing all the options listed makes it simple to select one and move on. It even helps when I get stuck spelling a word. I definitely do not regret paying for the pro version of this. I'm happy to support good quality; this program is a great example of that.
  • (2024-06-01) Cheyenne McCoy: Helps me when writing my book!
  • (2024-06-01) Mohammed Ma'amari: I started asking for too much Permissions: - Read your browsing history - Read and modify data you copy and paste Before that, it was really helpful.
  • (2024-05-30) Ron RHG (Mistaron_Uk): EDIT: NOW BACK TO A FIVE STAR APP! IM REALLY GLAD TO SAY WE'RE REUNITED POWER T! THOUGHT I'D TRY AGAIN AND REDOWNLOADED AFTER QUITE A WHILE WITHOUT SINCE YOU REFUSED TO OPEN ON CHROME. YEP! IT SEEMS TO BE DOING IT'S STUFF ON CHROME AGAIN QUITE BRILLIANTLY! So assuming it performs as it always did, be assured that this app is unbeatable and totally deserves 5 stars! OLD COMMENT: ONE STAR BUT SHOULD BE 5 STARS! I've used and loved this APP for as long as I can remember, and have had no problems with it until recently. I'VE not long been back to using Chrome as my web browser and for some reason Power Thesaurus has gone weird. It used to work on it. It won't complete in pop up, and when I click the pinned icon, paste, then search it just hangs. I click 'log in' with Google id and it returns server error 500, 'please click on Classic Thesaurus', Obviously not your own app? This gets an average working thesaurus page requiring another paste and click. I've uninstalled and reinstalled PT a couple of times, but no change. Finally, luckily for me I suppose, I had previously tried to go Pro and join, but whenever I've clicked to join, it returns a completely blank page and is still doing it. I'LL BE HAPPY TO COME BACK AND GIVE 5 STARS if the problem is found to lie with Google and not PT, as I have never previously had cause to criticize, and as far as I'm concerned PT has always been inimitable and is the best Thesaurus free app one could find, (and I have reluctantly been looking and trying). I did send an email and I'm still trying to find answers. Any ideas appreciated. [email protected] I've been hating the alternatives.
  • (2024-05-16) Sam J: Suddenly stops working. What gives...!
  • (2024-04-23) Michael Hornback: I just downloaded your tool and it said that it installed successfully. Where is it?
  • (2024-04-20) Daniel Hennessy: As a writer, I use your app every day, all day long, not just for spelling/grammar, but for brainstorming, as well. I appreciate its power and speed and if my book sells I will be sure to donate... which I cannot do, unfortunately, at the moment. I do, however, recommend Power Thesaurus to many. Thanks again...
  • (2024-04-11) Bradon Dundas: I love the site, so this seemed a great way to access synonyms on the fly and really speed up my editing. But this extension is unfortunately incompatible with Language Tool. Seems something to do with the replacement method language tool uses, that when it selects the text in the doc this extension somehow interrupts the replacement process. Both work fine independent of the other, so it must be a conflict somewhere between. A shame, cause I really like the tool for most applications, but I do need Language tool. So for now I'll stick to the site.
  • (2024-03-28) Erik Hagström: Where have you been all my life?? Just excellent! It's exactly what i've been looking for. This is going to help me so much!!
  • (2024-03-26) nick foster: Really excellent interface, worth exploring. At first, I was chary of the fact that it includes user contributions. I was exploring alternatives to 'promulgate': but 'enunciate'... really? So I checked, and double checked, and stand corrected! So: TIL! (Also, a new word, 'annunciate'. WTH.)
