2-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your accounts. In 2FA, apart from your email and password, you also have to enter a security code to log in. This temporary code is generated by a secure algorithm. Enabling 2FA can prevent you from upto 80% of the cyber attacks.
2FA is supported by majority of the online services including: Google, Facebook, Github, Epic Games, Evernote, etc.

Salute to TOTP Authenticator devs that they need to google login to function when google account itself in 2FA locked and one doesnt have access apart from export json file (my phone died randomly) and then google shows this, 400. That’s an error. The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know. Plus their website doesnt show option for this extension only mobiles so this extension is more of doubt if they dont promote or advertise it. https://www.binaryboot.com/case_study/totp Plus not updated in 2 years and it is 2024 so app and service might be discontinued and wont work with chrome 120 versions plus.

A good start, but when I bought this application, I had understood that the extension chrome and the app was sync, not that the chrome extension is a simple stupid receiver of ONE code at a time that you need manually send from the APP. A great hope for a great deception, for me, approaching abusive marketing... My last hope is that it will be changed for THE logical solution: syncing automatically keys between devices. For the moment, I recommend to not buy the premium version.

You are simply the best! Special thanks for the possibility of backup. But I would like to see an extension that is independent of the application directly. Otherwise, what's the use of it?
