  • (2021-10-03) Arno Buysse: I loved this extension! <3 I beg you to also add a dark mode :D
  • (2018-10-01) Reptile: I like the readability bit but why does it get rid of everything else? Why can't I switch languages? Why is the table of contents gone? This makes wikipedia readable but also useless.
  • (2018-07-10) Attila Gábor Talpai: what really breaks my heart: - it's a great extension - you can't change language (since wiki uses urls you can't just change "en" subdomain to "de" or "hu" or "ru" or "it")
  • (2017-08-26) Michael Zolotarevsky: An option to read the page in other languages would be awesome!
  • (2017-08-24) Joscha Diederichs: Hey, I really like this app. It seems lightweight (I guess just css stuff?) which is always good. Unfortunately links are not visible - they are just black like the rest of the text. Also some options would be nice. Even if it would just be a css editor.
  • (2014-09-10) Edwin Stearns: I would like it better if there was a key press that brings back the links in the left margin so that I could go to the same page in other languages or even a key that removes all cleanups as the only way to disable this mode is to go to the extensions page.
  • (2014-08-23) Yale Paulsen: This is an excellent idea with some crucial flaws in execution. As other reviewers have pointed out this extension eliminates the table of contents which is a great feature of wikipedia. More importantly it eliminates the user's ability to edit pages. Effectively killing the spirit of the *user generated* encyclopedia.
  • (2014-08-21) David: Nice extension. Makes Wikipedia much more easy to read. As mentioned by other commentators the links do not have color, but this can be fixed by going to: %LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\imoddojnfpdkpfiipadaibjplddaneka\1.7_0\readable.css and removing the line "color: black !important;" from the "a, a:visited" section. Note: May need to change "Default" in the address to the name of your specific Chrome user profile. Then restart Chrome and the links will have color. :)
  • (2014-08-05) Artem Baguinski: Layout is ok. I don't mind the invisible links, that even helps against the addiction. But I miss the list of languages.
  • (2014-07-07) Constantine Vorobyov: where are the languages? ou? donde? wo? где? you read only one language? lol.
  • (2014-06-24) Remy D'Agostino: I like the idea, but removing references without any ability to toggle them is a deal breaker. I would suggest the other readable wikipedia plugin for chrome.
  • (2014-05-13) Benjamin Lupton: Is much better, however fatally it removes any way to distinguish links with normal text. Would be 5 stars if links maintained their underline.
  • (2014-05-01) Brent Larson: I have a 30in screen and reading Wikipedia was awful. This helps make it much more readable. Agreed with other reviewers though, it still needs a table of contents!
  • (2014-04-19) Mads Larsen: I'd like the option to change how links appear; right now all the text is perfect for readint. But If I want to browse around it's much harder to identify the links when they're hidden within the text.
  • (2014-03-24) Kevin Thrasher: Would be perfect if you could also toggle the Table of Contents. Maybe with T or C keys? It is a valuable piece of information to have. I wish that it included this, because otherwise it is BEAUTIFUL.
  • (2014-02-25) Jack Trego: It's great, especially with being able to hide the link colors using the A key, but I'd still like to see a table of contents. That's my only major gripe with this extension.
  • (2014-01-19) Thanks. Easy quick way to enhance readability of Wikipedia. Reading became a lot more attractive and enthralling.
  • (2013-10-28) Dan Roddy: Creates a clean and tidy view of Wikipedia which is great. Crucially, it reduces the linewidth to something far more reasonable on larger displays. Oddly, none of the other "readable Wikipedia" extensions seem to do this. Toggling links with the "A" key does exactly what is needed. But having used this a bit now, I see the value in the table of contents - an important mental prop in grasping longer articles structure before reading. Otherwise, good work, Nick!
  • (2013-09-09) Ryan Hill: Does clean up the Wikipedia experience, but without colored links and a table of context, it's not useable enough for me. Nice thought though. Would rerate if changes were made.
  • (2013-06-12) Ciaran Robertson: Doesn't appear to work with the secure HTTPS version of wikipedia. I'm using a https everywhere plugin. Looks fantastic but can't use without disabling another plugin, would appreciate fix if possible.
  • (2013-05-21) Scott Youngman: Brilliant! A "decluttered" Wikipedia is so much easier to read. It is helpful for me that links are not visible, and it isn't hard to discover them by hovering over a word. However, I would sometimes like to see them so I join other reviewers in requesting an option to view links (turn visible links on/off). Adding that would bump my evaluation up to 5 stars.
  • (2013-05-06) I'm rating this 3.5 stars with a potential to go to 5. It's a really useful tool tool that I've been looking for awhile now, really makes wikipedia a lot easier to read. Only problem is like what others have already pointed out. Links are the same color as text and thats a big issue. Some customisation for the background color or text font size family would help too.
  • (2013-04-24) Ben Crossman: Agree with Leo, nice but the links are invisible, which hurts my brain! Something to see links is a MUST, also the option to easily turn on/off would help. Otherwise this is a nice stylesheet for Wikipedia, please give it a try
  • (2013-01-25) Sadly, it doesn't work on other domain like fr.wikipedia
