Description from extension meta

Reminds you that you are dying

Image from store mori
Description from store mori is a chrome extension that reminds you that you are dying and how much time you have left. Each block represents one week of your life leading up to where you are now. Each row is one year of your life leading up to your birthday. Together it shows every week of your life until you are 80 years old. mori helps you focus on tasks that are important, achieve goals, stay in the moment and accept death. Use the information to your advantage. To change the date click the date and a popup will show. For comments / suggestions you can email me at: [email protected] Stay tuned for alternate versions! Update June 2014: Hover over blocks to show age / month. Remove some of the sidebar items, for now. They were breaking on some platforms. Would need a better way to show them.

For example, if it is 23:14, the tab says 46 minutes and 1 hour, instead of 46 minutes and 0 hours. Other than that, great: simple, direct and useful.
  • (2019-07-08) Shaheen Adibi: The original and still the best
  • (2016-06-14) Demian Groznny: It is a great idea. If I may give you a suggestion, you should add a feature to let it store and show important dates and achievements in the calendar.
  • (2014-07-04) C G: Great idea, i was currently doing a draft of an plugin that did just this, but i'm glad that someone else have saved me the work. Love the idea and how it replaces the new tab. A suggestion i have would be double-clicking a bar could change them from counting down to instead show progress through all the bars. So instead of "15 min left in the hour and 4 left in the week" it could be "45 Minutes into the hour, 3 days into the week"
  • (2014-06-14) John: Hey, it's a great extension. But I didn't like the "Also available as: Website" link in the new version. I find it takes away from the overall sleekness and feel of it. Perhaps you could add the website link to the description instead? Or as a link in the header.
  • (2014-06-13) Gordon Pham-Nguyen: Pretty neat, great reminder to stay focused on what's important.
