Description from store TrueAutomation Element Picker is a part of TrueAutomatio.io ecosystem. It’s created to speed up test creation and to allow test coverage in cases when ID or any other locators can not be used. TrueAutomation Element Picker + IDE + TrueAutomation.io, how it works: 1) Setup account @ trueautomation.io 2) Install Element Picker for Chrome 3) Install Element picker for your IDE 4) Start writing tests faster When you chose an element that should be used in your test, TrueAutomation.io generates a unique footprint of this element - a 'smart locator', adds it to TrueAutomation.io account and inserts that data into your test case. Thanks to ‘smart locator’, your element will be found during further test runs, even in cases when the page has changed dramatically. Currently supporting: - Atom IDE - Chrome Browser Use Case 1. Faster tests creation. TA Element Picker + IDE + TrueAutomation.io ecosystem reduce the number of steps and amount of time, required for finding and adding a proper locator to your test code. Locators created and added using TrueAutomation.io ecosystem will require in times less maintenance even in cases when the page has changed dramatically Use Case 2. Test coverage of web pages and applications that run on technologies with dynamic DOM tree There are certain technologies like GWT, Vaadin, React, etc which are extremely hard to cover with stable automatic tests. The reason is in locators - it is often hard and time consuming to find proper locators that can be used in tests and will not break right away. TA Element Picker + IDE + TrueAutomation.io ecosystem allows you to automatically add elements to your test code without having to do anything else. All you need to do is select an element, a unique ‘smart locator’ will be automatically created by TrueAutomation.io and added to your test code. Thanks to TrueAutomation.io elements will still be found even in cases when the page has been changed dramatically
