Send browser content like selected text, links and images direct from browser to mobile phone with one click. Simple.
What do you do when you're surfing the web at your computer and you come across a link or an important number or a funny meme that you want to send to yourself or someone else, but you want to send it to their phone? You probably save the content to your desktop, open your email client and compose an email to yourself with your content included. Then you grab your phone, access the email, save the content and pass it along in a text. Annoying!
Web2Text simplifies this problem with a one click solution. Just configure a contacts list, add some comments, and you're ready to go. Right click on whatever you want to send, pick your contact and comment and that's it! You're content is sent from your browser and received via SMS or MMS on your targets cell phone.
Web2Text uses the gateways provided by cellular service providers to route emails to text via MMS (paid) or SMS (free). Authenticating with your Google account, the app will ask for permission to send email on your behalf. Each Web2Text content click sends an email to your configured contact and appends a preconfigured comment. The app will also ask for permission to access your contacts to help you import contacts to your Web2Text contacts list.
Web2Text asks for your contacts to help you set up Web2Text contacts list, but DOES NOT save, keep, sell, store offsite or otherwise use any of your data at all, ever. You authenticate to your own account, send emails on your own behalf, and any data used by the app is saved locally on your own device.

- (2018-06-13) Ryan Konko: Great way to finally be able to text things from my desktop PC to someone's phone instead of trying 10 different ways to save, open on my phone, and text. Cut down on a lot of hassle, and is pretty easy to use.
