I LOVE IT. Literally best solution for people who would prefer using Edge instead of Chrome but still willing to keep the Google browsing engine with the searching box.

Works great on W11, installed Wedge and MicrosoftEdgeRedirect along with it.

Worked like a charm even on Windows 11

Just installed it and the wedge.. It kinda works.. WHen I type in a phrase (not just one word) then it launches chrome but only has the first word in the search (sigh) Windows 11 Home Version 10.0.2610 Build 26100

Windup with Bing, Yahoo, duck etc, Really does a great job at not redirecting even page of garbarge that is to be New and Interesting. Big hype HEADINGS but pathtic writing and pushing to buy something that'but actuallyas Newsbreaking

Only works if Chrome is already open. If I use the windows 11 search bar with chrome closed it will take me to Bing.

Still working well on Windows 10. I'm so grateful for this extension. Bing taskbar search is broken with customary MS arrogance. I painstakingly type search terms that it presumptively rearranges, edits or sometimes completely changes into something else entirely,aaargh!!! because of course, MS always knows better. It is infuriating and somehow no one cares. Saved my workflow and mental health , thank you. <3

What the hell is the point of an extension that tells you to go download another extension? Also, the instructions do not work since they are for windows 10 and I have windows 11 and default apps doesn't work the same way. I know nothing about "wedge" and its safety so I'm ditching this extension.

2/12/2025. still experiencing first search loading Bing until I manually refresh if Chrome was closed

Simple and Efficient

Needs to be updated. Because at the time of this review, the last time that it was updated was on January 18th, 2023. ALMOST TWO YEARS AGO NOW!! It still works pretty good once it's set up and all though. However, if you have this extension and it's not working? And when you go to, "extension options," the Chrometana Pro Settings page is all that comes up? You might want to try removing the extension and then adding it back to Chrome. Because then it will go through the instructions again, which will include the instructions for installing, "Wedge."

So far so good. Just remember to follow ALL the steps. I'm going to bet the ones having issues didn't install Wedge.

Installed it, enabled it, doesn't work. The search bar still opens edge when any result is web based. Chrome is my default browser.

I was advised by my Navy Federal Credit Union to download another browser when their website thing rejected my recent log in attempts on my Chromebook. Looking for EDGE, I found this Chrometana Pro and now it is downloaded - supposedly. But I do not know how to use it. I do not see how to OPEN the thing let alone make it work.

So many times I hve tried to find out how to not use other search bars other then Google, and it alwasys redirects me to other search browsers that I dislike. Im old school so therefore, I prefer Google. Then again times change and we must adapt Thank you Google for a Crazy Vato Loco like me that used to have his library card as his most inportant thing in his wallet other than some grifer, back then was the most importat. I used to rent or take home movies in VHS, CD Audio CDS n CDA format (now absolete) and enjoy them at home throghout the 90s. Nowadays, I thank google for making it more easier and all.

This is a pretty big gamechanger; it allows you to use the search bar on your windows computer like something on an iPhone without Microsoft's clunky browser; it is handy for quick searches without having to use the mouse by just hitting the windows key, I installed it with MSEdgeRedirect on GitHub as recommended instead of edge in I believe in Adminless mode, with the Bing boxes checked in for google and it works perfectly. Could not recommend it enough.

Worked immediately on Window 11 after following the installation instructions. I couldn't find any other way to do this.

Can't get it work. Still opends Edge and Bing :-(

Not working. Tried restarting browser after installing and I still get MS Edge launching into a bing search page when I type something in the Windows-key dialogue box. I really want this to work so if there's anything someone can help with I would appreciate it!
