Save Text to File
Save highlighted text to a file on your computer.
Save text from a web page to a file anywhere on your computer.
Highlight some text, right-click and select "Save Text to File".
Text will be saved to a new file or else appended to an existing file, depending on option selections.

Very convenient application! But... Immediately after installation, the extension asked me for the folder in which to save the text. After I configured the options, it stopped asking for the saving path. It is just closing after run and I dont know where it save text (if it did this at all). The "ask" checkbox in options is enabled. Also, the save settings button is gray and inaccessible
Potentially good and really want I need to append clipped text to a file, but the host app (involved to install) crashed frequently. In the end, it took more time to use during a session than copy-paste to a notepad. Also needs hotkey.

Very complicated for non-tech heads. Set up includes having to fill out gobs of things like this (partial list) ... ========================= Filename component order: Filename custom text: save-text-to-file-- Add date or epoch to filename: Prefix filename with page title: Filename component separator: =================== If you're a tech head though, you may like it. But I wouldn't know, cuz as a non-tech head, I couldn't figure it out.

The only thing missing is a KEYBOARD SHORTCUT, then it would be perfect. Thank you for making this, I am using it to extract text from the web to use in Text-To-Speech.

Very good. Especially i like that i can manually set the file name in the save dialog and that there is an option to include the source url at the top of the text file.
