- i have used GHOSTERY for quite some time ..easily since 2013 at least because i had been rendered homeless from a bitter divorce & i still used my laptop even living outside between 2010-2013 & you guys were the 1st add-on that i really liked because you helped save battery power & time wasting ads when i had the tiny amount of online fun times or watching streaming movies. I told all my friends & ppl at wifi nodes about you & most ppl agreed keep up your amazing work you make the internet a tiny bit better for everyone & 2day every little bit speaks volumes! seriously thank you so much!!

- very nice app, convenient and easy to use! Sadly chrome keeps removing Ghostery and other ad/tracker blocking extensions from my extensions list and I have to reinstall after every google update. someone knows how to fix that?

- Absolute top, state of the art, sw product for current phase of earth's digital age. Gets frequent updates to keep pace with new AD related tricks. They even keep winning "batte" with youtube. However, I do turn it off sometimes, to check if greedy companies have already learned to be less agressive with advertising and to give some support e.g. to my favourite youtubers :-) ...It's free, but I've also decided to contribute, so that I do put my money, where my mouth is. Just saying.

- app doesnt work for the single most advertised purpose: blocking ads on youtube. install was also really dumb, page keeps saying to pin the app no matter whether its pinned or not (which is in no way necessary for the app to function), and continually pesters me with popups to re-pin the app if i dont have it pinned. besides this, the app starts deactivated and then opens a tab telling you to hit a button to activate it, instead of just being toggled on and off via the plugins menu like every other plugin on chrome. i have never in my life seen a chrome plugin this convoluted with this high of ratings. sure, you *can* deactivate any plugin manually, but it seems pretty ridiculous to have it turned off by default and then open a popup asking me to enable it. if you require some kind of terms of use agreement (which i did not see anywhere) then it can still be part of the installation process or listed on the plugin description. maybe google has it out for this one specific developer, but i seriously doubt that these popups and activation requests are necessary in any way. the developer just wants to pester you with their logo so its burned into your mind or something, and in the process has made their app more annoying than the ads it purports to (but does not) block. even if this plugin functioned perfectly after obeying all of it's nonsense requests, i would still be rating it down for egregiously poor user experience and sending me popups on every tab when its supposed to be blocking them. to whoever "vibe coded" this: eat a fat putrid turd and quit developing software forever.

- Broken as of 143 chrome update for youtube, I have to keep pausing it in order for youtube to work, the latest version DOES NOT WORK ON YOUTUBE ANY MORE AND BREAKS VIDEOS.

- Ghostery works fine on you tube & Rumble. Not good at all on Bitchute. Play button keeps disappearing and have to go into settings and disable it so I can view videos. Of course that means watching erectile dysfunction ads! Grrr....
