Are you sick of seeing clickbait advertising when browsing the web?
You know, those banks of "related" articles at the bottom of articles and blog posts, which bear no relation to what you've actually just read.
Unlike traditional advertising, this content is visually bland, wastes screen space, is often distasteful (you won't believe what she looks like now!) and worst of all, being careful crafted to be as tempting as possible, you actually need to exert small amounts of mental energy to resist clicking on these types of links. That's right - clickbait, even if you don't click it, is stealing mental resources that could be using elsewhere!
Clickbait Assassin attempts to address this dark pattern but removing the main offenders of clickbait from your browsing experience. Traditional advertising is not affected.
The plugin also allows you to add or modify the list of blacklisted domains, so you can customise your experience.

- (2023-12-14) Muh_Fake_Account: Just installed it and it got rid of RevContent which was the one that the most obnoxious. Bordering on pornography. I'm still seeing some clickbait ads but they're the type that can be easily ignored, i.e. they aren't pornographic and aren't ads for pot. They're like the foot fungus type of ads that I'm seeing.
