I don't know how people browsed YouTube without this. The site is an utter hellscape of brainrot and clickbait. This combined with Sponsorblock was the only way to YouTube.

• (2025-07-10) Larabieprime: Previous issue before it was fixed was that everywhere but the recommendations when I'm watching a video wasn't being properly blocked. Now it's only the recommendations that don't work. Everywhere else however seems to be back to blocking channels. I said it before and I'll say it again, this extension has helped me out extensively and I hate to see it not working, especially when I'm stuck having to see god awful youtubers flood my YT recommendations as if the website thinks they're worth being given the time of day. Whoever is running this extension now, please sort this out. I still can't honestly recommend this extension until they have it back to how it worked before. If it wasn't broke, there was no need to fix it. But now it is. So fix it please.

Also though, it should also block shorts from the blocked channel, I block any AI stuff I came across, but their videos are usually shorts, which this extension doesn't block for some reasons.

• (2025-05-02) Candy'Up Desco: Used to work but as of today, the more channels you add, the more it cancels out old channels you blocked, kind of like as if the numbers of channels you can block was limited to 3 :/
• (2025-04-25) Yuri Tarelko: Not working for some reason. Started recently. If you press X it removes the channel but it appears again later. 25.04.2025 update. The extension is basically useless at the moment. X button occasionally disappears, but even when it's there - it does nothing. Blocking channels reappear again like nothing happened, even though the blocking list is full.

• (2025-03-18) AOMGTera: Used this for a year+ and it's been doing it's job. It's just missing the option to block shorts (by YouTube channel). I have another extension that entirely blocks shorts from appearing but blocking certain YouTube channels would be great.

I do not believe this extension blocks anything because I see the same channel in the list over 12 times and it still is not blocked. march 17, 2025 WHERE IS THE X? THE MOMENT I OPEN YOUTUBE? • (2025-03-08) Brandon Mulryan: Works as intended. Was annoyed at a YouTuber's views on a game and this extension worked perfectly to remove them from my recommended and search feeds effectively. Even by searching the account I no longer see them or their video(s). And you can fix any accidental channel blockings by going into your extensions tab to remove them from the blocked list under this extensions tab. Efficient and can allow for simple corrections to mistakes.

• (2025-01-30) captain no one: It hasn't been working lately. On the homepage of Youtube it seems to still be doing it's job, But I see videos from channels I've blocked when I'm watching other videos. I hope this problem gets fixed.
• (2025-01-20) Riverboat Gambler: Doesn't work and there doesn't appear to be a way to easily contact the developer. Likely, something has changed in Chrome that has impacted the extension's ability to perform its service. Hopefully, the devs are aware and will be addressing. From what I read elsewhere, this is a pretty nifty extension to use.
• (2025-01-16) Cas Harris: this extension has always worked well for me but recently playlists made by blocked channels have stopped being hidden. one of the main reasons I use this extension is to block rage baiters, bigots, and sexual predators because no matter how many times you hit that 'not interested' button they just keep being recommended. I have personal experience with some of these creators so seeing their playlists show up again has been a bit frustrating. I really hope it can be fixed.
