Trump Blocker

I've been using blockers for probably a decade to get rid of anything disproportionately consuming attention. This was the best of the lot. Worked efficiently and usually surgically (except I happen to like Jazz music and the blocker was never fond of trumpets). It's a shame the lack of updates (specifically, important privacy updates) means I won't get to use it anymore. Yet to find an adequate replacement.

On my out of date Chrome on Windows 8.1 this works GREAT!! It works wonders but when using a new computer with Windows 10 and latest chrome update, I CAN NOT install this extension at all! I really hope the developer will update the extension to be compatible with newer Chrome. THis has been the greatest thing next to sliced bread. BRING IT BACK!

Yes Trump is blocked in YouTube video. We in the U.K. are fed up with seeing him. We in UK have our own politics many of us find Trumps rantings very upsetting. Every UK News program is full of Trumps thoughts, we want UK News because its blocked by Trump 20 minutes Trump/ 10 minutes UK

This was working great and now its not.... The super rich attach again. Yep Jeff and Trump are in bed now so this Ext has been removed. chrome says its because it was not maintained but I'm sure it was for other reasons that , in this day and age, I'm sure you can guess...

Could we please not have his face as the icon? I'd love to go a day without seeing it. Thanks

So grateful for this extension. I see that it may be removed soon for not following Google policies. That's suspicious. It's so nice to be able to look at the news and not have to see every single thing Trump is doing.

I get sick to my stomach every time I see or hear this person. It's like a bad nightmare. I can't believe that there are this many deranged people in the United States that would vote for this person. I'm hoping that this blocker will work. As every time a picture or video of this person pollutes my laptop want to end it all. I'm 80 years old, so I'm hoping that he will not do enough damage in my lifetime, By getting us into a senseless war, but I have children and grandchildren that I fear for. How could anyone vote for someone that wants to do away with our democracy. Not a historian, but this looks very similar to what Hitler was trying to do. .Thanks for the blocker.

Used Trump blocker before but switched to PeaceFeed and it's much better - no more browser crashes or broken articles. Instead of removing content, it just blurs what you want to avoid, and you can customize it for any topics (not just one person). Works smoothly across news sites; simple and effective if you want to filter your news feed.

This is great. Just get rid of the photos and we'd be perfect. I still read the newspapers so not seeing the articles online are just fine.

This app works perfectly to remove all traces of the orange turd. I can read the news without disgust again.

I may try avoidance tactics for a little while but what seems more imminent is reading about his successfully instituting criminality in government, starting with his election fraud. He has devoted his life's work to deception and getting one over on people. If there is not some criminal angle to the dealings of life, he hardly seems interested. With that in mind this next chapter has the makings of something so ugly and destructive about to happen that there may not be much left when it ends. In 2016 I knew that this is not going to end well and got a glimpse where we were collectively at that moment... Now I feel the dark forces already. A regime is coming that is fully invested in destruction. I dare you to look inside yourself and deeply reflect on what has just happened. Just try to get a read on what's coming toward us. Take a few minutes to reflect on where we collectively are and how you feel about that. My gut tells me this is all going to come down in epic scale, like the most turgid opera anyone has ever thought of. But the thing is it will be real life coming at us. Without any hope of my own at the moment, I shall fill the lack with those words of FDR and I will cling to history and ask for the fortitude and integrity to do what is right, fair and just no matter what is going on around me and how difficult it may be to even want to have hope. And lastly I'll add that hope is a four-letter word.

GOOGLE why are you blocking this APP? What do you mean by "doesn't follow best practices?" Are you afraid of the president elect? Why can't I block this content if I want to?

As of November 13th 2024 extension does now work. Time to leave the internet.

This really does work and I love it. Would like to see it configurable so i can enter any criteria. I also see a warning from Chrome that the extension will be disabled soon. Can you open source this?

There are many filters to remove over-inflated egos from our presence. This is one of them. I'll deal with the overkill of the filter if it means one less over-inflated ego in my life. Great extension!

Seems to work as advertised, but if I tried to disable it for a site (I was trying to post about the extension on Facebook so others could use it) it completely locked up the browser and required a force stop. If they fix that bug I would highly recommend, but until then, I do not

Yes, it removes his name. But that's it. It leaves all the stories there on the page. It feels like a weird form of denial in that it only removes the appearances but leaves all the content. So what you get is a blank headline with a bunch of stories still there at the top of the page. I was hoping for something that would remove stories so I can follow actual news. This is not that.

I love it. I hated seeing his face or anything about him every time i wanted to read news articles I would scroll past his face would never listen to him talk. This is great i am happy to use the internet again in peace. I am very thankful to the person who developed this i don't even have to look at the icon of him I have it hidden in the chrome menu thank thank you thank you
