To create a new tab without leaving the page we’re on, we all open links the same way, and it’s painfully inefficient. I’m talking about Right Click + Open-Link-in-New-Tab.
I browse a lot, and I open a lot of tabs. So I decided to make an extension that reduces by 50% the effort, clicks, and time needed to do the same thing.
Here’s how:
I created a (FREE!) chrome extension that, once installed, can be toggled on & off with Ctrl+Shift+E (Windows) or Command+Shift+E (Mac). When turned on, you click on a link and it's opened in a new tab without leaving the current page you're on. Simple.

Only gripe is, it's not playing well with Tab Activate https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/jlmadbnpnnolpaljadgakjilggigioaj - in other words, clicking links opens them in a new tab, but doesn't switch me to it. I'd like this option!
