  • (2023-08-15) Aleksandr Kulevich: doesn't work "Sort This Window", tried several times on different version the UX is terrible - "Extract This Domain" extracts from all the windows, but not from the current one, so I've lost tracking of all the windows I had
  • (2023-04-23) Beau Gunderson: No longer works now that Chrome suspends tabs to save memory. This plugin needs to be updated to use the `pendingUrl` attribute of the tab object to get the URL for those tabs. A workaround is to visit every tab so that they are all resident, then use this plugin to sort them. This is annoying if you have hundreds of tabs open, however.
  • (2023-04-21) John Lockard: I wish it could sort selected tabs. I don't always want *ALL* tabs in my window to be sorted, but only some. For example, I'm shopping and have opened up tabs for all the products I might be interested in, and I'd like to sort only that stores open tabs. Selected the range of tabs and then sort.
  • (2023-02-13) Russ Clarke: I'd love to revise my rating to 5* but I have an issue with the way this works in Edge (yeah I know, but I'm trying to earn MS Points!) ... Basically, it just doesn't behave well with vertical tabs, most time I can only get them sorted if I temporarily disable the vertical feature. It also doesn't seem to play nice with tab suspenders like Marvelous Suspender, once a tab has actually been unloaded. That said, I very often have 100's of tabs open and this can be a life saver!
  • (2023-01-23) Andrew Gleeson: It looks like the issue with Tab Groups has been resolved.
  • (2023-01-08) Prakshal Jain: exactly what i was looking for!!
  • (2022-10-21) Goku Gohan: I love the extract this domain feature but the sort order from 'sort this window' leaves something to be desired at least for me... a number of the websites I use have a url format of www.domain.com/author/storych# or www.domain.com/author/story/ch# and I was looking for a way to group the stories of a given author together and if I have multiple chapters of the same story open to group those together within the grouping with the author
  • (2022-08-12) Georgiy Shevchenko: Does exactly what I need!
  • (2022-07-02) Valery: The extension itself was handy before the appearance of chrome tabs. It doesn't work with them and breaks sorting
  • (2022-06-25) 권오인: Ignoring new tab groups in chrome browser group merged into one. Please update it so that it is sorted by excluding groups.
  • (2022-06-16) Joseph Chiu: Simple yet essential to get my tabs under control. Without it, my tabs are like a giant hairball!
  • (2022-04-25) Sophia Walsh Long: Good tool but "sort this window" is broken and I have tons of huge windows some of which are already sorted in groups so this is annoying.
  • (2022-02-15) Sam Shef: Not the sort I was looking for. I wanted to sort by date/time tab created I guess it sorts alphabetically by domain? I have no idea.
  • (2022-02-08) Brice Tan: This extension does a good job at sorting, but not exactly in the way you may have wanted it to be. It messed up all the tabs across all my windows. The buttons don't really work well, is buggy and messes everything up. Taking tabs out of tab groups too.
  • (2021-12-31) Major Tom: does exactly what's on the tin, very very useful
  • (2021-10-20) Joan-Angelo Enrile: Will break all your tab groups and does not restrict the sorting to your selected window.
  • (2021-09-09) Shawn Ma: Love it! The only improvement I want to see is to support shortcut keys
  • (2021-08-27) A: does not work well for me. often sorting does not work, using a similar extension from now on that works fine now
  • (2021-08-19) David Cloutman: This is okay. It gets things close to what I want and that helps a bit, but as far as I can tell it only sorts by page title. I really need something that is more flexible and with a saner default. My preference would be to sort by domain, then subdomain, then by page title, though in some cases I might want to sort by URI instead, or even by a named parameter, positional parameter, or off of a regex result of any of the above. I realize that's a pretty full list of desired features, but even one or two would be a huge improvement.
  • (2021-07-29) Yifan Yifan: Add a shortcut option for each command, thanks
  • (2021-06-28) Rayna Kuzio: Why does the "Sort This Window" setting only work sometimes...??? Other two settings seem to work perfectly.
  • (2021-06-23) Apo: A lifesaver for a tab addict like me! It serves an Essential function. You have to click the button twice or thrice for it to "listen" but that's no huge bother to me. What I REALLY wish is that it could 'interpret' the modified URLs used by tab-pausing, memory-saving apps like The Marvellous Suspender -- or, even better, add some kind of "rules list" where we could define our own more specific sorting rules ( so we could just say <ignore the first # letters of urls that start with "xyz"> ) which would future-proof this kind of thing. Keep up the great work!
  • (2021-03-20) Noctuna: Still one of my most used extensions since i always have to many tabs, as other write it has a bug that "Sort This Window" doesnt alwas work. As a workaround i move all tabs of my current window besides one to a new window, works for me then.
  • (2021-01-26) Annette Wilson: Would be great, but the "Sort this window" button quite often sorts a different window completely! Annoying, because a) it appears that nothing has happened, and b) it's quietly made a mess of another window.
  • (2020-12-16) Олег Деревянко: Понравилось с первого клика, автор молодец!
  • (2020-11-27) cedric pouralle: this one works well, I would like to have an option to extract a domain with a shortkey intead of the mouse
  • (2020-09-04) Andrew: I wish this was built-in and expanded. Chrome's new beta feature to allow you to manually sort tabs seems like it misses a whole opportunity to make organizing tabs simpler and less manual work. It'd be great to get these options added to the context menu of a tab.
  • (2020-08-08) Benjamin Burton: Thank you!
  • (2020-03-02) Logan Ladue: Works just as I wanted it to, thanks
  • (2019-12-16) Pum Walters: As others have noted, you need to press the button multiple times. Not twice, but an arbitrary number. And still it won't sort correctly. This extension aims to do one thing, and does it badly.
  • (2019-10-05) Stephen S: Would like the ability to sort pinned tabs also.
  • (2019-07-16) Vincent Zhang: EDIT: love the new version, this is perfect now with the first-click fix! Stopped working in Chrome 69, please fix.
Но в данное время странная сортировка внутри домена: много раз попадается в таком порядке пример a.z.x/y/32302012 a.z.x/y/31615459 a.z.x/y/32250015 - не по возрастанию цифр
  • (2019-05-14) David Millar: Works ok, but never the first time.
  • (2019-05-01) David Woodward: No longer sorts pinned tabs, but works otherwise.
  • (2018-10-02) Rainbow Warrior Princess: Doesn't react (doesn't sort) anymore when "sort all tabs" or "sort this window" is clicked and sometimes not even the popup menu appears when the extension icon/badge is clicked.
  • (2018-08-22) Joel Potischman: Very handy for organizing tabs and discovering which ones you didn't realize you had multiples copies of open. Only knock against it is that it never works the first time I click the button to sort but I've learned to just click it twice. A bit annoying but still a very useful extension if you tend to keep a lot of tabs open.
  • (2018-06-12) Taylor Murphy: Simple, lean, and works fine. Thanks
  • (2017-10-09) Kilo19: Cure for Tab hoard. Extract tabs by domain is awesome but sometimes I have so many tabs that I lost track. I hacked the extension and added a button to extract all domains in the browser into separate windows and sort them. Email [email protected] if you want to add the function. I will provide the source with no strings attached.
  • (2017-10-01) Eric Hanko: Works flawlessly. I'm a sorter of all things in general, but I'm also a tab fiend...so this extension has drammatically improved my workflow. For example, it makes it easy to see which tabs were left over from a Google search result vs. some first-party documentation I'm reviewing vs. GitHub repos. One suggestions: add ability to trigger "Sort Tabs" with a keyboard shortcut.
  • (2017-07-29) Jens Johanneson: This should team up with Tab Menu to become THE ULTIMATE tab extension. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tab-menu/hjeifjagcmihmdcmnfjelgdgpibefmfc
  • (2017-06-04) Casper Wilkes: Pretty good tool. I agree with the others. I have to click the 'sort tabs' option twice to get it to work properly. I'd like to know what criteria it uses to sort by, and it'd be nice to change the sorting criteria. such as sort by domain, or sort by title. something like that would be a great addition.
  • (2017-05-22) Chichi son: It'd be nice if you could set how many domain levels to extract to ... for example the deviantart site uses artistname.deviantart.com so when i try to extract the deviantart domain i'm only getting the tabs of a single artist but aside from that its a great tool
  • (2017-01-26) Mark Meuer: Works almost perfectly. The only issue is that I have to select to sort tabs twice before it actually sorts them. This happens for both the sort all tabs and sort current window.
  • (2017-01-25) Clint Sawyer: I can only get it to work sorting ALL tabs, not sorting one window. I work with multiple windows across multiple monitors, and most of them I have organized a certain way for efficiency. There are only a couple windows that I want to sort. So, if it functioned as stated, it would be very useful, but all or nothing doesn't help. I also see some people saying it sorts alphabetically AND by domain, but I'm not getting that, it's sorting everything mixed. Is there a setting I'm missing?
  • (2017-01-15) Rebecca White: Pros: - Helps you organize tabs where the titles are cut off - Provides hard to find functionality Cons: - You have to click the button over and over again
  • (2017-01-04) WH Kuo: always have to press twice to activate sort all.
  • (2016-11-04) Alex Haber: Perfect!!!! Just what I am looking for. Runs well. Does what it says. Excellent Extension!
  • (2016-09-15) Eric Gavaletz: Great for tab pack rats like me.
