Check My Links is a link checker that crawls through your webpage and looks for broken links.
'Check My Links' is an extension developed primarily for web designers, developers and content editors.
When you're editing a web page that has lots of links, wouldn't it be handy to be able to quickly check that all the links on the page are working ok? That's where 'Check My Links' comes in.
'Check My Links' quickly finds all the links on a web page, and checks each one for you. It highlights which ones are valid and which ones are broken, simple as that.
You can copy all bad links to your clipboard with one click!
HTTP response codes and full URLs of broken links are published in the Console log (Found in: 'Chrome > Tools > Javascript Console' or Ctrl+Shift+J).

Version 3.8: Copy to console will now mainly copy to your clipboard (it also still copies to your console just in case).

Version 3.6: Added optional 'warnings' for empty href attributes, trailing #s and anchor tags. Also, invalid links can now be dumped into the console in CSV format for export (many thanks to Kyle Ladd for this stuff).
Version 3.5.1: Sets 'noFollow' default to false on first run & checks for existence of either ID or Name attributes on pages linked to using URL fragments.
Version 3.5: Optionally check rel="nofollow" links, anchor links are now also validated, GET is now the default request method and you can now close the report box and re-run the checking process multiple times without any weirdness.
Version 3.4: You can now optionally cache valid links (green coloured, HTTP 200). This means the extension will always consider them valid each time you run the checking process, and therefore check only the red (broken) links each time... making page checking A LOT faster (many thanks to Kyle Ladd for this feature).
Also, you can click on the cache and method links on the page to quickly get to the options page (allowing you to change the HTTP method and caching settings quickly).
The extension also doesn't render multiple times on the page when re-clicking on the extension button.
Version 3.3.4: Now allows you to check links in a local file (note this requires the 'Allow access to file URLs' checkbox to be ticked in the Chrome extensions screen).

Good extension but making some changes will make it better. 1. Give alternative colour for redirection links 2. Differentiate internal and external links
at least provide to extract data in form excel.

I've been using this extension for several years now. It's working awesome. I just now noticed that the green color for 200 and 302 are very similar and therefore hard to tell which one is 302. Would be awesome if you could customize or change that light green to something else. Maybe Dark forest green :) Cheers y'all. Keep up the good work!

It doesn't work. It marks in green a lot of invalid links (404).
Are you interested in DDoS your own site? This tool will provide that service for you.

Impossible to notice the difference between valid links and valid redirecting links (colour wise). Change the redirects to light blue. Also, make the links clickable (in the form of a report, see what your competitors are doing).

Doesn't work at all. Ran it on pages that have know issue, got a clean bill of health…

There is no option to extract the valid links.
Might work with finding broken links well, but would be much better if it warned you while leading to a dead redirect which is what I was looking for. Though it is useful that it shows which links are redirecting, it's just a slightly different shade of green as the valid ones, so that you may not even be able to know which links it's referring to as well.

I've enjoyed using it in the past, but now I am getting multiple 429 (and sometimes 501) errors, apparently from firewall or rate-limiting protection on the server. I think a throttling function might help, but don't see it in the settings. Using "head" checking seems to help a bit, but still get errors that aren't really there.

Love this extension! Would you be able to add links that return 301 redirects as maybe a yellow/amber link to this? Would be super handy to flag redirects!
Missed very obvious broken link and reported that they are ok. A waste of time using it if brings back incorrect results. Disappointing

Personally, it works well for me when launching new releases on our website. I can check all links in a click & it appears to be accurate enough to capture all the links it can see.

Sorry but it finds a lot of 403 links although those pages work fine.
It's really helpful extension for finding the broken link...
After copying all the invalid links into notepad, by accessing them they all seems to be working. Don't know how is it showing them as a broken. May be I am not using it correctly at all. Anyone has some idea about it?
the color contrast between "Valid links" and "Valid redirecting links" are too close
It keeps saying my twitter links are invalid. Nt sure why...
Easy to use & quite spot on. Only issue is that it marks all Twitter links as invalid, even if they work. I'm a web designer/developer so I've tested many sites and it's always the same result.
The best tool for dead links for chrome, i found a lot of dead links for my website https://www.gvibes.dk, would not have found them without this tool.

This app is so good that i couldn't explain how much this app save my time. It just simply check all the broken or dead links.
I really do link the tool but it would be nice if you were able to click on the vaild or invalid links in the box. Sometimes this tool will tell me I have two invalid links on my site but i wont be able to see where those are... For example I'll have one invalid link which would be highlighted in red but I don't see the red on my website anywhere.

really dont know how best to use this, tried countless number of times in clicking the icon to check my link but its unresponsive
If a URL redirects to a broken URL, it's marked as valid. This is not helpful. If the user ends up on a 404 error I want to know about it.
