Teleparty is a browser extension for watching TV remotely with friends, e.g., for movie nights with that long-distance special someone. It synchronizes video playback and adds group chat to your favorite streaming sites.

They changed the interface on the website for Tubi so now it takes you to a new page for the Tubi player and teleparty doesn't recognize it as being Tubi so it doesn't let you start a party, saying "Select a video first". - (2025-05-10) It's good! When it works, that is. Much of the time it refuses to load the video, and there's a lot of weird bugs like the profile icon becoming smaller and smaller the more text you send.

The bugs are annoying, the room de-syncs, sometimes the chat doesn't load, the player pauses and unpauses repeatedly at random, messages sending twice in chat, it logs me out every day and sometimes forgets that I'm a premium user, etc. etc. etc. Above all else, why isn't there a mobile version yet??? Teleparty users have been begging for a mobile app since the pandemic. And they want us to pay for ts. What is going on lmao
