- (2025-07-13) Becks Silke: Doesn't work "This extension requires macOS Sonoma or later to be installed"; I have Sequoia 15.5 installed.
- (2025-07-13) Cory McCabe: Extremely helpful for still being able to use Chromium-based browsers (Like Arc) and still having access to all of my iCloud passwords. I really did NOT want to have to switch to another password manager and start paying for something, so this is a perfect solution for me. Pro Tip: When needing to log into anything, use ⌘E to open up your login details for that specific website. 🔥
- (2025-07-11) Brian: Obnoxious. Immediately uninstalling. First of all, it makes you open the Passwords app and do everything there, then copy/paste your passwords. But the main reason I'm removing it is because EVERY time I navigate anywhere, it asks me if I want to save some random thing as a password. Sometimes twice.
- (2025-07-11) Mikhail Gostev: asks for a 2fa any time i open the browser again, would be nice if it automatically entered since i get the code on the same device i have to enter it on
- (2025-07-10) Ihor Dem: Please fix it on Sequoia "This extension requires macOS Sonoma or later to be installed"
- (2025-07-10) Farid Martínez Yd: does not work, keeps saying I need macOS Sonoma or Later installed when I'm already on Sequoia.
- (2025-07-08) Matthew Newton: Works as expected, only issue is that it prevents Google Pay autofill from working. There is no Apple Wallet Extension. However, if you turn off the extension and refresh the page, the Google Wallet reactivates.
- (2025-07-05) Vladimirs Matusevics: works as expected
- (2025-07-05) Vu Dinh Dau: It works perfectly
- (2025-07-05) Owl Enigma (LeoCronis): stopped syncing and working on pc
- (2025-07-03) Mason Dial: Requires 'Windows Hello' login to setup.
- (2025-07-02) Hadi Farnoud: it doesn't generate password. it does not autofill the forms. for each login you need to authenticate. and it does not have secure notes, credit cards storage. also, the CSV import does not work on Passwords app on MacOS. I've tried many password managers, this is by far the worst one yet
- (2025-07-01) Lauren Cervantes: Stopped working on macbook/ecosia broswer after recent OS update (6/2025) worked fine prior, laptop has been turned off and on. extension has been removed and re-added and says it need Sonoma or later
- (2025-06-30) Rafael Seifert: Please support Dia Browser.
- (2025-06-29) quez baldwin: It used to work perfectly, then chrome updated. Now it doesn't work for me
- (2025-06-26) Maddox Vasquez (Madtalks7): It's fine. However there are multiple problems, I have to re-turn on the extension every time I close my laptop, and sometimes the buttons with the username and passwords don't even work. Which is really annoying, kinda disappointing.
- (2025-06-26) Arslan Aslam: An amazing app from Apple.
- (2025-06-24) Gale: Effectively Useless on macOS and Encourages Disabling Security as a Workaround. This extension does not function at all on macOS 15. If you are storing your passwords in a secure manner (synced via the iCloud Keychain, for example), then all it acts as is a massively-complex shortcut to the “Passwords” application to copy-paste manually after re-authenticating. Of course, the foundational issue here is that neither Google nor Apple can manage to set aside their monopolistic impulses for long enough to simply compete on a product-by-product basis on the open market, but we’re all already aware of that.
- (2025-06-23) Lee Moreau: Doesn't work at ALL. It's added to Chrome, it shows added to Chrome, yet all Chrome says is "download iCloud for Windows" when trying to use it for passwords. Then if I want to run just the Passwords app it says I must enable Hello for Windows which I don't want to, and cannot do on my computer.
- (2025-06-20) Luis Zapata: kinda chopped with the popup everytime you want to use it, but does job eventually
- (2025-06-19) Benny Smelcer: hell yea
- (2025-06-18) Alan Gourlaouen: Work fine
- (2025-06-13) Kathy Ryan: Just an annoying pop-up pretending to be helpful.
- (2025-06-13) Kim P: can you support Dia Browser. It keeps telling me to install Mac OS Sonoma even though I'm way past that.
- (2025-06-13) Aleksandr Shukletsov: 1. Always popup asking for auth code 2. Doesn't create passwords for websites - you have to open the Passwords app and create a password their. Only Safari's got full support. Poorly done Apple.
- (2025-06-09) Artsiom Sazonau: Amazing
- (2025-06-09) Sándor “Kobra” Fricska: Nice try, goog idea. But always pop-up for auth, doesn't work with Apple Watch
- (2025-06-08) Dan Ko: Works really badly. Rarely opens. You need to enter the verification code many times etc.
- (2025-06-07) Hyder Family: Hi Apple. So, iCloud Passwords is completely awesome, but now, on Opera Air, it does not recognize that I am on macOS 15.5. Please fix this bug!!!!!!!!
- (2025-06-06) Greg W: Still currently broken in Brave. Used to work fine. Now the toolbar icon looks funny after you click it to give access to the site (becomes so dark that it's basically invisible in the dark-mode toolbar), and clicking again produces a window with the six number-boxes for authorizing the extension to access your passwords, but only the extension icon is there (no text), and it doesn't trigger the OS to show you the window with the 2FA 6-digit code. Please fix.
- (2025-06-05) Joe Steinkamp: Can't be installed on Mac OS Sequoia 15.5 as it says "This extension requires macOS Sonoma or later to be installed." Sequoia is later.
- (2025-06-05) Lin (1): it stops instant replay but never reenables it and has some flakey reliability
- (2025-06-02) indo raptor: Great
- (2025-05-29) Chris Claro: This might be good on a Mac with Safari, but for Chrome or Edge it is terrible. First, it covers the passwords that I already have autosaved with the "use passwords" extension, then when I click on the extension, verify that it is me, sometimes nothing comes in anyway - so what are you asking to save or add if there is nothing there anyway? When it does work it is helpful, but there needs to be a way to shut it off on the page as to not interfere with Chrome/Edge passwords - because it seems to be duplicating those rather than sharing with other passwords on the device. I would rather just get rid of it and stick with the others.
- (2025-05-29) James Hanley: Not compatible with Linux Mint. Why?
- (2025-05-28) Jason Morgan: The degree to which Apple has made this frustrating and inconvenient to use on Mac intentionally to drive people to stick to using Safari is kind of impressive in a twisted way. Went to swap back to Chrome because Safari has been giving me so many issues that require purging the cache to view websites, and just in the 10 minutes I was goign to websites to log back in I had to re-enable the extension at least 3 times. There's no way any serious person is looking at this as anything other than intentionally hostile engineering.
- (2025-05-27) Jonas Paquette: doesnt work with Brave browser even though its chromium based but works (allegedly) in chrome??? :( so dumb
- (2025-05-26) Kelly Tardif: sucks. doesn't work when i click. i do like the verification part though.
- (2025-05-25) Rich1747: Doesn't work in Vivaldi and it's pretty poor in Edge, such a pity
- (2025-05-23) I-manuel: its so asss. Nothing pastes in the input field
- (2025-05-23) BMav: No longer working asking for old macOS to be installed. needs an update/fix
- (2025-05-22) Vaishnavi Narayan: never works when i need it to!!!
- (2025-05-20) Andreas Thyholdt: When it works it's great. Unfortunately most of the time I can't get it to work, only occasionally by furiously clicking on the usernames that pops up it can activate. It's also competing for attention with Google's own password manager. Too bad as there is definitely a need with 4 mill. users.
- (2025-05-19) Jordyn: My iPhone got stolen and I have only Android and Windows devices. Can't access iCloud passwords at all at the moment. Downloaded the app, received the SMS after clicking Enable passwords on the Windows iCloud app. Google extensions just asks to download the already-downloaded app. Edge is the same.
- (2025-05-18) Arun Jayaramakrishnan: It is always unreliable
- (2025-05-16) Bryan Williamson: It does not work well. The extension recognizes sites that have my login information saved, but it does not allow me to click on the drop-down list of the login field and have passwords auto-filled.
- (2025-05-16) Guga: it doesn't even connect...
- (2025-05-16) Tomas Alvarez: Unfortunately, many websites are geared towards Chrome, so this plugin is beneficial. I wish it would work like LastPass or 1Password, but it falls way short, and lately, it no longer works at all.
- (2025-05-16) Colin Ricketts: Never works on my set up on iMac or Macbook Pro. Disappointing
