Google recently replaced the Black Bar with an app launcher (the 3x3 grid icon in the grey bar), which allows you to access some preset Google shortcuts. The only downside is the fact you can't customize the shortcuts displayed in the app launcher.
That's where this extension comes in. It allows you to customize the app launcher and add more then 250 Google shortcuts. And it is not limited to these 250 Google shortcuts; the extension also allows you to create custom shortcuts to every website you want.
In the settings page, which you can open via the "Configure" button in the app launcher, you can define which shortcuts you want to display in the app launcher via drag and drop (hold your mouse on a shortcut in the left list, drag it to the right list, and release your mouse). You can add or remove all shortcuts via the two buttons below the left list. The settings page also allows you to filter the 250+ Google shortcuts via the searchbox and you can easily sort your selection via the "Sort A-Z" button.
If the shortcut you want is not available in the list, you can submit a google shortcut request via the "Suggest a new google Shortcut" button. If you want to add a non Google Shortcut, add a new one via the red "add custom shortcut" button.

- Everything would be fine, except that after every update, the extension persistently tries to open its stupid advertising page, which, of course, refuses to load. So you have to go to the extension management tab, deactivate it, refresh the page, reactivate it, and only then can you open that pesky page announcing all the new features that no one wants to see. Because an extension is supposed to WORK, not just whine about how great it is. If I need information, I'll open it myself.

- Incredible!!! Please improve the interface so that when hovering over the apps, the background is highlighted, just like in the original Google app launcher. Currently, the highlight only happens when clicking, but it would be great if it were also triggered when hovering over the apps.

- Was a 5-star app but current version replicates pages in history at a fast pace, making history-based navigation difficult if not impossible. Once this is fixed I will change to 5 star. I have now temporarily disabled until this bug is fixed. If you click and hold over the back arrow in upper left-hand side of chrome you will see it add history pages repeatedly.

- Very useful ! But now there's a bug so I have to deactivate if temporarily : it creates tons of elements in the History (like once every few seconds) which makes it almost impossible to get back to a previous page. I also assume it slows down Gmail and I had to delete my whole history with... almost 20 000 pages recorded ! Please fix this bug then I will activate the extension again. 😊

- Já faz parte do meu Chrome, facilita muito o dia a dia. I noticed that started to have a lot of entries from the G App Launcher at the navigation historical (ctrl+h). How can I prevent this? It's really hard to do a quick search at my historical.

- I use an extension that overrides the new tab page because I don't want to see my bookmarks bar on the new tab. The background on the new tab now doesn't include a the google apps icon. Not only can I now have my icon back in "toolbar" fashion, but I can customize which google apps appear on it. It took me trying a few different extensions that were outdated or just didn't load any apps before I found this one. AWESOME EXTENSION!!!

- What is this, a repackaging of Shortcuts for google Still get it popping up when reopen Chrome. You reported that was fixed in shortcuts way back in 2021 or 2022.
