L'estensione del browser Chrome IBM® Rational® Functional Tester - Web UI rende più potenti e flessibili le funzioni di test dell'UI Web di IBM® Rational® Functional Tester. Con questa estensione l'utente può effettuare una registrazione da un'istanza del browser in esecuzione che è già nello stato desiderato. L'approccio ai test diventa così più modulare, perché è possibile realizzare registrazioni distinte per ogni scenario applicativo o aggiornare il test esistente senza l'obbligo di includere il processo di inizializzazione con ogni test. In seguito è possibile combinare gli scenari applicativi in suite di test automatiche.

- (2017-01-18) Mark Lyon: Unfortunately, since IBM Rational Test Workbench 9.0.1, this plug-in does not work at all. It will neither record nor run any tests. Chrome always opens to the URI "data;" and the plugin fails to communicate with Test Workbench. It also attempts to open the browser in developer mode, which disables all plugins (including itself), which defeats the purpose of testing as a real world client.
