XV - XML Viewer - extension for viewing XML documents
You have the ability to open XML and edit XML files instantly with this free extension. Also after your view and edit XML you can save that directly onto your desktop or your Google Drive.
The features of XML Viewer:
* Collapsable elements: Alt+click to expand/collapse all descendant elements. Double-click on opening or closing tag to collapse it.
* Outline for better document overview.
* Search by name or XPath. By default uses simple search mode which looks for a partial match in element‘s or attribute’s name; use special symbols like '/' or '[' to search by XPath.
* Quick XPath mode: hold down Command (Mac) or Ctrl (PC) key while moving mouse cursor over element‘s or attribute’s name to enter Quick XPath mode. Use Shift key to cycle through available XPath variants and then drag’n’drop element under cursor into text editor, click on element will copy XPath to clipboard.

- (2020-11-03) Alex Miller: Simple helpful extension to view XML - my main usecase was just simply making links in sitemaps clickable so i could hand-crawl them more easily. Briefly read the sourcecode as it's scope is to read all webpages I visit and I'm a bit of a security freak. It's loading a carbonads.com script -- i guess the developer has to eat, so no harm there... but I'll just constrain it to read the pages I want to read.
