100+ features available! Features are turned off by default - explore the extension's Popup and Options page and enable the ones you need. After installation, reload all YouTube pages!

Fast forward, rewind, navigate chapters, control volume, speed, and more (50+ actions) with an unlimited number of custom mouse controls (hover over different areas of the video and use mouse wheels or buttons) and keyboard shortcuts. Use global keyboard shortcuts to control active video from any app.

Turn on the "Auto Gain" feature to balance sound levels across different videos by making quieter videos louder. One of the audio channels is quieter or missing? Just turn on the "Mono Mix". Use the "High Pass Filter" to make muddy audio with too much bass clearer. If the volume is still too low, there is a "Boost Volume" feature.

Make player controls always visible, hidden, visible only on mouse hover, or show only a minimalist progress bar. Auto-hide them in less than the default 3 seconds. Customize volume and time display and base time on the current playback rate.

The 3 YouTube Tweaks extensions on Chrome Web Store are literally god-level extensions. They are fundamentally changing YouTube. This extension has practically every function you can possibly want for YouTube, and it's free!!! God-level extension. Absolutely god-level extension. It seems that the only way to interact with the extension is either using mouse control or keyboard shortcuts. I do hope that this extension in the future can feature button control, like you press a button and take a snapshot/screenshot of the video! Thanks dev!

Steve McManaman 2026-06-18: how can i force the progress bar to stay visible all the time if I leave my mouse cursor at the bottom of the screen? I mean, when you watch a video, the progress bar automatically hides, right? And it appears when you hover your mouse over the video. I want to see the progress bar all the time whenever my mouse is over the video or at the bottom of the screen. The reason I'm asking is that when I watch a video without pausing it, I check the thumbnails that appear on the progress bar when I hover my mouse over it, but the progress bar always disappears after about 2 seconds.

Donnie Darsshan 2026-06-11: The "Skip Video Intro/Outro" setting is applying to both normal videos and shorts. I had requested an option to separate normal videos and shorts, but even after waiting, no feature has come out so far to fix this issue. This makes 10–20 second videos almost unwatchable. Please make sure to add a minimum video length requirement for the skip intro and outro to apply. Some videos are only 40 seconds long, so if we set it to skip the first 10 and last 10 seconds, we can't watch the video at all. We need a minimum video duration setting for this to apply to normal videos, and for shorts, there is no need to skip the intro and outro since they are short lengths anyway.
Smarq17 2026-06-11: Late last year I removed this extension, after using it for a few years, because YT flagged it as an adblocker and would not allow me to watch videos. I found another tweak extension that did basically the same thing - and was not flagged at all. Just yesterday, YT changed something that took several features out of that extension and it was not working 100% anymore. So, I came back to YT Tweaks. Seems like it's no longer flagged and my old json files still worked perfectly. I got back to watching YT with no real issues - except one: Expanded Theater Mode does not work the same as before. I really liked this mode because it expanded completely except it left the header in place. That's how it used to work. Now it blocks out the header, almost a Fullscreen but my browser stays in place. The trouble with that is I can't go to the YT homepage unless I deactivate the Expanded Theater Mode, which means I then have to reactivate it when I go to another video. I'm not going to lie...I'm currently trying other extensions looking for one with "the sweet spot" I like and need. If there's a script I can use or some setting that I'm missing, please let me know. I have been a fan. Don't lose me for a second time.

Settings > "Show Exact View Count" Settings > "Show Exact Date" I think YouTube changed something, because it worked OK in past..? Please check and repair, if possible.

MR _Foffe 2026-05-16: Love the extension, I have however gone through hell trying to find the source of audio clipping in my headphones recently. The audio clipping was negligible when first starting the computer, but slowly built up as the computer session continued until all audio became painful to listen to. Resetting the progression of the clipping required a computer restart. The source was this extension's "Audio - Auto Gain" setting. I had it only Boost and Cut mode at a -3dB threshold. It worked fine for months until one or two days ago when it started.

Luke J 2026-03-24: Developers, could you please add a simple Low-Pass Filter (LPF)? The HPF is great, but an LPF would be just as useful. Some videos have too much 'sizzle' in the high frequencies; when listening to podcasts, I’d love to be able to shave off everything above 6kHz. Please consider implementing this!
