Features are turned off by default - explore the extension's Popup and Options page and enable the ones you need. After installation, reload all YouTube pages! Fast forward, rewind, navigate chapters, control volume, speed, and more (50+ actions) with an unlimited number of custom mouse controls (hover over different areas of the video and use mouse wheels or buttons) and keyboard shortcuts. Use global keyboard shortcuts to control active video from any app. Turn on the "Auto Gain" feature to balance sound levels across different videos by making quieter videos louder. One of the audio channels is quieter or missing? Just turn on the "Mono Mix". Use the "High Pass Filter" to make muddy audio with too much bass clearer. If the volume is still too low, there is a "Boost Volume" feature. Make player controls always visible, hidden, visible only on mouse hover, or show only a minimalist progress bar. Please support good authors like this, as always, so they're incentivized to keep maintaining and creating thoughtfully-considered and -crafted software. As usual, just looking over negative reviews with zero useful feedback you can tell people are trying to use the cudgel of bad reviews as tech support, too often for problems they caused or which are the result of learned helplessness instead of doing a little digging/work. They never go back to improve their rating whether they figure it out themselves or the plugin author helps them, both of which merit making it right. Maybe the system needs to be improved to follow up with users given some are so self-focused they ruin things for other, but the responsibility should still be on the users to do that at the end of the day. At least you can still mark it as unhelpful to derate those who put no effort in and expect everyone else to meet them 100%. Grumble grumble...

These sponsored messages (they're not even ads) just stay there until I click the button or the standard time elapses. However, since YouTube has got tough on adblocking, it's better than nothing. At least some features (such as muting ads) still work. I hope the makers of this extension carry on working to circumvent these measures imposed by Youtube.

(2023-09-04) Fuji Lives: I've used a TON of addons over the years, over a plethora of browsers, and most just plain get it wrong. This add-on gets it RIGHT! The menus, the options, everything is really pretty and quick to setup and run with. Clearer text on the initial main menu buttons could help (Player Controls & Video was one of the last things I clicked when toying with the addon for the first time!), but other than that, I have ZERO complaints as of yet. Great addon and glad to have it available! (I found this looking for a keyboard shortcut remapper, I'm currently using the experimental keyboard features and they are working great!)

Automatic full screen works the one time ... for videos or as long as you keep clicking videos on the sidebar under the video rather than using the homepage, after that, YouTube's video full screen ... (I kid you not) only works ... on the YouTube homepage, not on videos themselves. Oh no, it will (dys)function as if it's in full screen but it won't be in it i.e. you may still have to click the middle X or press escape as if you're in full screen while watching a video but not because you are in full screen (video). Tried in incognito, so no, it's not caused by another extension. This is besides the fact that it, by default, makes the user go into settings to e.g. get the mouse wheel to stop fast forwarding videos and changing playback speed rather than having a way to disable all features and select the ones you want, I mean because who knows what else is wrong and needs to be disabled? Oh, and instant full screen can and will cause all of the video thumbnails on the homepage to disappear. Thanks for getting my hopes up about an automatic YouTube full screen that actually works ... for a moment before it immediately breaks.

It is getting fixed if we zoom at least to 125% but anything below that is causing issues. Otherwise, a great extension. Just that the cinema mode is having issues every other week. I tried updating chrome and updating your plugin, the issue still persists. However when i try to scroll the comments using the mouse wheel, it doest scroll. I understand why this happens, and I noticed it doesn't happen when typing comments or playlist names, so this should be an easy fix, right?

Hey there, thank you very much for the extension, I'm here again. On search results pages, Shorts Section are still displayed (sometimes more than once on the same page) even when I have set all the options in the extension to hide Shorts everywhere. I honestly don't know when this behavior started, I realized just today. It think it's due to changes on Youtube side, since the search results page looks different in many ways. Maybe you'll have to adapt the extension so that "Shorts Section" could be succesfully hidden again. In order for you to reproduce the problem, please note that the "Short Section" does not appear in all searches. Only in some of them, depending on the term you have searched for. In some searches it will not appear, but not because the extension is hiding it, but because Youtube does not offer it. When you do a search in which Youtube includes "Shorts Section", it will appear, no matter if the Extension is set to hide it. For example, try searching for "Big Brother", the Short Section appears twice on the main search results page (at least on my computer, browser and country). Thank you in advance.

Starting with version 3.42.0 on February 23rd, the extension no longer hides comments (below the video). Even if you have the "Hide Comments" option enabled, the comments are still displayed. If the option is deactivated and activated again, the comments get hidden. But when you refresh the page (or go to another video) the comments are shown again. I hope you can fix it in the next update. Thank you very much for the extension.

This has been going on for a couple of days now. Every video I open now automatically has the transcript thing, which makes the actual video hang until the transcript is completely loaded in. I'm pretty sure it's this extension causing it because I don't have this problem if I use a different browser or a private window. I can't find anything in the extension options that might control this, or at least hide the transcript. I'm in Vivaldi on Windows 10.

Hi, recently this problem occurs: I've set 'Preferred Video Resolution' to '144p' (and the other similar options to 'Off'). When I change resolution manually, after going to fullscreen it'll revert back to 144p. That means, every change between fullscreen and normal view, will reset the selected resolution to preferred one. With my set of settings, I expect no change in resolution and the new behaviour bothers me, so the 'Preferred Video Resolution' option is not practically usefull anymore.

hi, I use this extension to automatically set youtube video quality to 1080p (I have fiberoptic and a 1080p monitor, but for some reason youtube defaults to 720p). I use this feature of the extension along with plenty others that are great. however, sometimes I like to listen to the videos in the background or do other stuff. Playing these videos in 1080p slightly lags my cpu when gaming, so having the video automatically set to 1080p is not favorable in this scenario. I would like to suggestion a feature to automatically set the video quality to 144p when the window is minimized or if it is a song with a still image / no animation playing. Perhaps there could be another setting for video quality when the video is minimized / unfocused tab, or if the song contains music? (Music in this video | Listen ad-free with YouTube Premium | Song | | Artist | in bottom of the description of the video to detect if video is a song) I would like to enjoy automatic 1080p when I am watching videos, but have the videos set to 144p (lowest quality) when unfocused / minimized.

just a sugestion since you seam open to add features. I am using a Audio/Video Sync add-on sometimes because I have DSP in the audio chain creating delay. the problem is that it somehow bypasses the loudness compensation your software does. I would be great to have this feature in your software.

Hi, I downloaded recently and it was running fine, so I installed it on my Microsoft Edge browser on my main account, but it appears that I can use it the screen shortcuts very very breefly and then I cant, no matter if with it is setted to do it with the ModKey, default setting or whatever. It may be some other extension interfering with this one?
