- (2016-12-23) Mark Fullmer: As of Dec 2016: Drupal 7: this seems to require "admin_menu" to be enabled, as opposed to just "toolbar". It does not work with the "navbar" module backport. Drupal 8: Works on the default administration menu ("navbar") provided in D8.
