  • (2020-09-17) Sridhar Jayaraman: Great. it just works like magic. google should include this logic as part of gmail permanently rather than a chrome add on.
  • (2020-08-31) Brick Wall: I wish I had found this extension Back in 2004 when Gmail started!!! (Yes I have had an account that long, back when you had to know someone to get an invite. Thus no numbers behind my name ;) ) I cannot explain how THANKFUL that this exists and that I found it! Absolutely OUTSTANDING sir!!!

  • (2020-08-09) Lee Fabricius: I can't believe that this is not a standard format for Gmail. I was about to switch back to Outlook until I read how to fix the problem and it worked perfectly. It takes a few seconds to download, turn off and on conversation mode and it worked perfectly. THANK YOU!
  • (2020-07-30) James Lake: It works why isn't this the default mode for gmail we will never know
  • (2020-07-28) Hanshen Jordan: works perfectly so far.
  • (2020-07-24) Pavel Zhivov: The extension is valuable but every time I launch Chrome (84.0.4147.89) it looks as if the extension is not working. I go to chrome://extensions/ disable and enable the extension back in order to see the effect. Without that re-enabling Gmail looks as if there is no extension enabled.

  • (2020-06-30) Mitch Holmes: Makes Gmail through a browser actually usable - it's madness that this isn't already a feature
  • (2020-06-26) Rora m: Magic! A must have! Why doesn't Google provide this option by default?
  • (2020-04-06) Christian Schmetz: Super extension ! Do the job !
  • (2020-03-19) Michael Linenberger: Excellent. Can't believe it's not already an optional setting in Gmail. It seems so obvious since when I write a reply I am replying to the latest thoughts sent on a thread, so I like to glance at that content as I write the reply. This makes that possible.
  • (2020-03-11) Tony Petruzzi: This plugin will change your life. Why Gmail doesn't have this built into it already is something I'll never understand.
  • (2020-03-06) Amy Liao: Lifesaver.
  • (2020-02-14) Al Albers: Worked for me. Thanks!
  • (2020-02-08) Omar Faruk: Good. I want it to my Mobile (Android) Gmail App.
  • (2020-02-07) Wouter Jeuris: Unbelievable that this is *still* not a default feature. Thanks for the implementation!
  • (2020-02-06) Connor Shillady: This extension did nothing to my gmail! What a waste of time.
  • (2020-01-31) Cary Vervaeke: Awsome extension. Now to get it working, you have to close your gmail and then reopen it. Also, make sure in settings that you have turn "conversation mode" off and then on again to reset. I had been trying to do this inside the gmail app for ages and was so happy to find this extension. Love this extension.
  • (2020-01-31) Cornelia Thurmann: Perfect! Thanks so much for this!
  • (2020-01-28) Mark Neale: I'd give you 6 stars if I could. Gmail should have been made this way. Thank you!!

  • (2020-03-29, v:0.0.7) Eric Rosenzweig: Not working
As a follow up - I think I may have found something. I use the vertical split and reverse doesn't seem to work when I view email there. However, if I pop out the email in a new window it works. Not ideal, but at least it works that way.
  • (2020-03-29, v:0.0.7) Eric Rosenzweig: Not working
This used to work really well, but doesn't appear to be working anymore. I'm on 0.0.7 of the extension and version 80.0.3987.149 of Chrome.

  • (2020-01-24, v:0.0.7) Kerstin Bonicard: Add on not working
Hello, I have done all the steps I keep reading about. Downloaded 0.0.7 Version. I have refreshed page, turned conversation view off then back on, and logged out and back in. When I click into the conversation, the conversation shows corrected with the most recent on the top for the first 3 seconds then it automatically switches back to the old view (does the same thing with the reply button on top as I added that add on as well). My url is below. Is it an issue since it is a company owned url? https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?zx=pyodfrqe69a2#inbox
  • (2019-11-18, v:0.0.7) Russell Graville: Extension enabled, page refreshed, even system rebooted, still not reversing thread
Conversations are not being reversed. I see conversations exactly the same with the extension removed, installed and enabled, and installed and disabled. Using Chrome Version 78.0.3904.108 (Official Build) (64-bit). Using Gmail reverse conversation version 0.0.7 Gmail account is accessed at https://mail.google.com/* It is working for others in my organization. Please advise as to what could be interfering with functionality. I am willing to help troubleshoot and provide logs.

  • (2019-10-23, v:0.0.7) Brian Stephens: Only works for https://mail.google.com/*
My business uses gmail, but the website is: https://mail.google.com.us.cas.ms I can't seem to be able to add websites to the extension to grant permission to that site, it's locked to mail.google.com only. Any thoughts?
  • (2019-10-21, v:0.0.7) Richard Brindley: Does this extension need an update?
Excited extension, but I installed app, refreshed page, and it didn't work. Also disabled other extensions and put gmail on the native view (no preview pane or split view): still didn't work. Did the latest Chrome update break your extension? Are you planning to update?

  • (2019-09-18, v:0.0.7) Kevin Tuuri: Add Enabled/Disabled Option
It would be extremely helpful if you would add an enabled/disabled toggle so that the extension can be deployed at a large scale without forcing it to be enabled. I'm happy to contribute and help add the functionality if you're interested.
  • (2019-08-06, v:0.0.7) LaDonna Crawford: No delete button?
Why is there a reply, reply all and forward option - but no delete. Also, I'm finding I have to individually delete each email in the string. Am I doing something wrong?
  • (2019-07-12, v:0.0.7) James E Burns: Allow first message to be hidden on click
    If you receive multiple unread messages from the same thread, you can only toggle/hide the messages after the first one (last in reverse order), making you have to scroll past the the first (reversed) message to read the previously sent ones. If you make it so you can toggle the first (reversed) message in the thread, you can toggle all the messages if needed. This is necessary when the last message received is long and tiresome to scroll past. I inject a script to add the missing event listener on hash change: lastEmailMessage = document.querySelector('div.h7.ie.nH.oy8Mbf'); lastEmailMessage.addEventListener("click",function(e){ if ( this.querySelector('div.aHl').parentElement.style.display=="" ){ this.querySelector('div.aHl').parentElement.style = "display:none;" }else{ this.querySelector('div.aHl').parentElement.style = "" } },false);
  • (2019-07-12, v:0.0.7) James E Burns: Suggestion: Allow reversal in read conversations only and toggle button
Thank you for the extension! I would like to ask if an options page can be created so that end-users can have some customized features with this extension. For example, in cases where I haven't read any email messages in an email thread, I would like to read them in chronological order or normal order. For cases where I have already read messages in a thread, I would like to see the newer messages first (reverse order). Also, if a "toggle" button could be added to the Gmail page to show the current email thread in reverse or normal order, I think that may be helpful.
