Solution: GIFit!
How do I use GIFit!?
1: Install it
2: Go to any video on http://youtube.com
3: Click the GIFit! button at the bottom right of the video player
4: Set a start time, end time, and other configuration options
5: Click the Create GIF button
6: Watch the frames fly!
7: Your GIF is ready, click the "Save GIF" button!

- Pretty good extension until recent update. Now, when clicking on the gifit button settings appear behind other buttons, so the "gifit" button, the duration button, dimension buttons, are all unclickable and unuseable. Not sure what happened because this extension used to be very effective.

- Unusable. The hitbox for the extension is is off-center so activating the extension is a pain. Then when it does open, it's translucent so instead of hitting the buttons on the popup, you're hitting the buttons on the video (Share, Ask, Download, etc buttons on the bottom right)

- amazing. Has to render frames... but it makes sense why. Theres two buttons as said below tho...

- Decent extension, does the job. But it appears to inject itself into the navbar twice, resulting in two "GIFit!" buttons at the very right.

- incredible. truly. works perfectly. I'm giving it 5 stars but there is room for improvement. The start/end times are rounded to 1 second so it's not possible the get the exact gif I want every time. I usually have to do further processing. But even so, this tool works extremely well and is very useful.
