Subtle Scrollbars

Description from extension meta Semi-thin scrollbars, styled to blend background with page contents
Image from store Subtle Scrollbars
Description from store Replaces the stock scrollbars with 6px-wide versions that have rounded ends, no arrows, and a background that attempts to blend with the page. The bars are a medium grey, and nearly black on hover. Scrollbars for UI elements like drop-downs are not affected, but iframes and scrolling divs usually are - and with backgrounds that truly blend with the page. This extension is extremely lightweight - just a vew lines of CSS, and roughly equivalent to restoring support for Custom.css userstyles without any interface to edit the new CSS file. No more expertise is needed to tweak this extension than to edit the Custom.css file Chrome no longer supports.
Latest reviews (2019-08-29) maya pedersen: Excellent scrollbar, slim design, discreet yet easy to spot - which was the reason I was looking for a change in scrollbar to begin with. (2019-08-02) DaserT: Nice (2017-10-26) Lokehoon Kimhakarn: best scrollbar no bug (2017-02-22) Jeff Lechner: I wish it would disappear after not scrolling for a few seconds. (2014-12-21) Jonathan Baby: Nice and clean. Not actually transparent with Chromium under Linux but nicely takes colors close to ambiant background. (2014-12-21) Nikki Effects: Works well, like the dark colours and style. I would use this all the time except i prefer windows 7 type scroll bars and use an extension for that.
