Dark Reader - Dark Mode for your favorite websites (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) is a fast, lite, and simple extension that automatically turns the colors of your browser content warmer or darker.
This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colors, making them high contrast and easy to read at night.
What will you get from the Dark Mode extension:
1) An easy way to create dark mode on every website. In addition, you can customize your dark theme visual from Brightness, Contrast, to Saturation.
2) A night shift mode that changes the website’s color to warmer, making it much more pleasing to watch.
Night Shift
Activate Night Shift mode to invert the usual light from the screen to a warmer tone, thus, preventing your eyes from harm. You can turn the tool on and off with a single click when you need it.
Dark Mode extension automatically shifts the colors of your browser content to the warmer end of the color spectrum after dark.
Dark Reader extension will put a dark theme on all websites, suitable for those who work at night and dark reader for online news or book reading.
Dark Theme for YouTube extension converts the YouTube theme to a highly customizable dark charcoal/blue theme. This Dark Reader extension is built on top of the default YouTube theme (native dark theme) so it is very light-weighted compared to using themes injected by Stylish or Stylus extensions.

- I've only used this for a little while. So far, it works reasonably well on Vivaldi (Windows 11), and appears to be faster in operation than the 'Dark Reader' extension. When using the 'dark mode' switch, I found that text on webpages became unreadable (on webpages, I prefer a small text size). The 'reading' switch works well, and gives webpages a yellowish tint.

- Just needed something that works on Google Sheets, so I would not be flashbanged while I was working. It does work as I wanted it to be, but it might not be for everyone, because it inverts the colors to get to the dark mode.

- I lost the extension I used previously and this one works amazingly well for what I needed it for. However do note that some websites the reversing of colours means the site isn't 100% useable (gmail for example) as some of the text blurrs into the background. Only reason it lost a star in my rating. With a little tinkering on their part I'd happily give the extra star back

- After trying multiple extensions, this one is the best I've tried by far! When I use it with Chrome, by default it works fine. The OPTIONS interface is a bit iffy. The RED X doesn't work immediately. It takes a while for the browser to refresh/catch up to show them actually deleted. Some nice additions would be to show the colors used when selecting a theme, then REFRESH the screen automatically. Another would be to allow editing and changes to any theme you select, versus creating a new one.nnThank you!

- Looks good, but it takes a second or two to load on Chrome. When I search, it looks like light mode for at first, then flickers twice into dark mode. I don't know if this is because of anything else I'm using conflicting with it, or it's just loading slowly. Is this happening for anyone else?
