- So far, it's done its job, and it's done it well. I'm normally a YouTube Premium subscriber, and aside from the ad-free experience, the other premium features keep me paying the bloated monthly price, but this December, because I'm barely scraping by, I had to let my subscription lapse for now. The thing is: I've been subscribing to Premium for quite awhile, easily paying over a thousand dollars over all these years (3 of which were paying for a family plan), and then I was just tossed to the wolves by YouTube Free, being constantly assaulted by an insurmountable barrage of terrible (moaning...?!!) advertisements, ads on every 8th tile on the home page, and not being able to put my phone in standby while listening to a video anymore. There is zero loyalty with any of these companies. They'll take all your money for years, build up a company and live the good life while telling you how important you are to them, but the moment you experience a normal human hiccup in your real life, they are quick to show you just how unimportant you actually are. Point is: I don't feel guilty, at all, for using Adblock for Youtube right now. Most of the YouTubers I watch are demonetized anyways, so getting assaulted by ads on Free Youtube only benefits Youtube, and it screws only the creators and the viewers in the end. F Google for being greedy and petty!
