uBlock Origin

- Live on Store
***
Elastyczny.
- uBO filter lists
- EasyList (ads)
- EasyPrivacy (tracking)
- Peter Lowe's Blocklist
- Online Malicious URL Blocklist
Można wybrać więcej list filtrów:
- EasyList Cookie List
- Fanboy's Annoyance List
- AdGuard Annoyances
- Dan Pollock’s hosts file
- I wiele innych
***

- Go and use adguard. The extension isn't being removed because it 'worked too well'—it's MV2, and Chrome has removed all MV2 extensions. It is conspiracy nonsense to farm likes. Thousands of extensions have been removed for the same reason. They banned uBlock because uBlock is 'too good' is complete repetitive garbage. Google dropped support for old extension code. That's literally it. Nothing else. Eventually non-Chromium browsers will use the same code.

- This extension worked so well that Google had to go out of their way to make it not work anymore. Seriously, just for pre-rolls on YouTube?

- OH NO, something that works very well. We can't have that. I'm shopping for another browser. One that respects it's users. Chrome, just.... up yours.

- For some reason when I write temu in the search bar, it redirects me to scam websites, that ublock does block, but when I disable ublock, it stops redirecting me to the scams. Which would clearly mean that it is ublock itself that was scamming in the first place.

- Google has removed hundreds of Mv2 extensions and not because they are the best at what they do. Brave is removing them too. Use uBlock Lite or Adguard. The end.

- So: YouTube gives me trouble for having an ad-blocker on. And since I realize they won't allow this, and I had installed this only for YouTube, I remove it from extensions. What happens is: YouTube ads continue to be blocked, and YT keeps giving me trouble. Solved only upon reinstalling this extensions, and disabling ads on YT. You should code it, I'd say, so that when it is uninistalled all its effects are removed with it. BY THE WAY: this is still available on the Vivaldi Browser: a browser built on Chromium, with full access to the Chrome Web Store, but much unlike Chrome otherwise.

- How to reinstall Unblock Origin and get the most updated one: 1. Go to https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases and download the most update chromium.zip 2. Unzip the folder inside 3. Go to 'manage extensions' 4. On the top right you'll see 'Load unpacked', select it 5. Then select that Ublock0.chromium, and there now you have Ublock again. And if you get any Manifest errors, you can check out this website that can help you get around it: https://winaero.com/how-to-restore-manifest-v2-and-ublock-origin-in-google-chrome-139/
