The purpose of the description is to clarify that the software is 100% free, which is not the case. Your description has failed to prove this. I tried your product, and I’m not happy with the results. You are misleading its user base by making them believe that your software is 100% free when it isn’t. You deceived your customers thanks to this bait, and it’s no wonder why it has mixed reviews and ratings from your users. Grammarly is better, but he started going downhill with horrendous algorithms and faulty results. Even for that software, I have mixed reviews. Your guide is a Grammarly clone, by the way. I’m surprised they didn’t sue you because this is severe plagiarism!

- (2022-09-11) Milovan Filipovic: I used this extension to see how it works. Ginger cannot detect passive verbs, wordy phrases, and overused words. The rephrase method doesn’t work well, and he confounds words. He cannot find the misuse of a semicolon and a faulty tense. There are more mistakes made by ginger than there are corrections. I don’t like the restriction that Ginger makes in their software. The subscription is too pricey, and it’s not working. I tested Ginger’s ability to find long words. The Customer Support Administration is not qualified to deal with technical issues. Promises of a priority to deal with the technical issues within 24 hours aren’t fulfilled within WEEKS. One thing I don’t like is that Grammarly doesn’t tell you the price of a subscription. If you are lucky, you can afford their subscription for half the price when they announce it on their website. Ginger hasn’t updated its software for several years. Grammarly can find up to 400 grammatical errors, including plagiarism. The rule at the University is that you mustn’t have above 25% of the plagiarized text in your diploma work. I’m surprised that the Ginger Company hasn’t included such a necessary function in its software. I might use it. Grammarly offers a team of proofreaders to check your document before it is ready to go. Ginger does not have this.

I preferred the usage of Grammar and Spelling Check in many of my internet letters. - (2022-02-02) Bradley Walcker: The app is cool and all but there's a limit on it. You can only spell check like 3 words a day like replacing "its" with "it's" after those 3 corrections it disables. There's plenty of free extensions in the web store just like this one and they work way better because their free and receive more diagnostic and user data to make their apps a whole lot better. Save yourself some time having to look for a new extension a few days later because that's likely what you'll do after installing this extension. - (2021-12-31) Luke Fuller: The software itself: - Often provides grammar and spelling suggestions which don't make sense, are blatantly wrong, or often sound like they were approved by a none native English speaker. - A bit buggy. - Doesn't seem to work on a lot of sites (i.e., Google Docs, which it is advertised to work for, but I couldn't get to even pop up). The UI: - A complete copy of its main competitor (Grammarly). The highlighting is the same, even the website is a blatant copy, down to the download button. The company: Though its older than Grammarly (by about a year) it doesn't have any reviews dated before 2018, which is conveniently when Grammarly launched it's first beta that included Google Docs support. The companies branding is also a down-to-the-T copy of Grammarly's.

It's a pity I had to go back to their competitor because it does offer this option, so not having it it's a real deal-breaker.

I just typed in the sentence, "Finally, the last lesson Clement's life shows indomitable courage." It came out with, "Finally, the last lesson Clement's live shows indomitable courage." Live? The last lesson of his live? What does that mean? Copy and paste the sentence and try it for yourself. It doesn't work. I'm switching back to Grammarly.

- (2021-08-20) Spectre fzier: I don't know why people have left a bad review for this extension. I have tried out a couple of popular grammar checkers. Each had their own strengths but I wanted something that gave me all around features like grammar checker, rephrases, synonyms as well as an inbuilt dictionary to learn unknown words. This app provides me with every one of those features. Thanks to the dev team. My only suggestion is to increase the no of correction allowed for the free user per week to atleast 30. Otherwise superb app.
