• (2023-11-30) Paul Edward: Used to pass as decent... There were gaps but none that I couldn't fill in/supplement w/ other extensions but it's become nearly unusable for my use case. Fortunately, I happened across the behemoth of a review (more of a recommendation, really) from December 2022 (by Alfred Batman lol I'm not sure if that's a statement/Theory, as in, "Alfred is Batman" but it makes me chuckle either way) which recommended an extension that is not merely passable, I don't need to enlist an entire team of extensions along with it in order to gain the functionality I'm looking for in this type of extension, as it single-handedly tackles all of it. As alluded to in Alfred Batman's review/recommendation, its sheer number of features/capabilities is a bit overwhelming, so there is a learning curve ( and this coming from the guy that all my friends and family members come to what their check issues so I've got tech savvy in spades but it still required my full attention for a good 30 minutes or so to configure and Taylor exactly to my needs but it's beyond worth it IIMO), but that's the only downside I could possibly mention and honestly,, too much functionality sounds like a good problem to have and is welcomed at this point, regardless. Check it out if you've found yourself frustrated with CRX. It's called smartUp Gestures.

On Firefox i use Foxy Gestures and there only "Open Link in new Tab in Foreground" with right button holded moving mouse upwards, and "Close Active Tab" with right button holded moving right to bottom. While last thing is working, the first is only available as Super Gestures which means i have to push another button on keyboard or mouse. Not very comfortable. So i give only 2 stars.

  After startup, Chrome runs for a few seconds and then stops responding. The browser then leaks all available RAM, causing the computer to stop working. Tests with disabling extensions led to the conclusion that disabling your extension will solve this problem.

  there is an issue when using Facebook marketplace. 1 create a new listing in marketplace and upload photos. 2. drag and rearrange photos when you left click on the photos you should be able to move them but this gesture is thinking that it needs to activate. the problem is i only have right click gestures enabled. so basically i can't rearrange photos in facebook marketplace because the gesture trys to engage.

  I really wish we could set a mouse gesture to send out a custom keyboard shortcut. The reason for this is that I wish I could use gestures with my other extensions. And while I get that you can't just put in tie-ins to other extensions, being able to set custom shortcuts for them, then we could call those shortcuts with mouse gestures

  As many others have explained already, the 'open new tab' gesture does not in fact open a new tab, but opens the new tab page in the current tab (leaving the page it was on). Also as others have stated, this is among the most used gestures in this extension, and it is almost a deadly sin to not address this gigantic problem. The idea of using mouse gestures is to make browsing and navigating the web an efficient experience. This bug negates the extensions use more than completely: it makes it more trouble than it's worth. Please fix this as soon as possible. If the problem is that you (the dev) have no idea how to, please let the other devs (like me) that want this extension to work know and help.

I've been reporting this issue for the last 2 years, why don't the developers fix it?

  Several weeks ago I noticed the problem with proxy server (authentication enabled). When this plugin is enabled, proxy authentication prompt (popup window) shows for very short time (there is no possible to type login/pass). Chrome browser is not working with proxy server. Workaround: disabling CrxMouse extension for time when proxy server (with authentication) is using. Is it known issue or something new? Please try to use this extension with web proxy (with user authentication). In my case is chrome not working correctly till disabling this extension (only this extension trigger the issue).
