- It always worked well with the app, but over the past 3 days it started saying I had to install the app even when I have it running AND connected.
- Steve Katz
- Used for a long time with no problems, and have been happy to pay for a subscription. Great VPN, BUT after the latest Chrome/Windows 11/or ExpressVPN update (who knows which is to blame?) the Chrome plugin no longer works. VERY annoying. Fix this and it'll be a 5-star review.

- After 2 years it has become COMPLETE GARBAGE!! CONSTANTLY stops working or gives app not activated errors WHILE SIGNED IN AND ACTIVATED. The fix is ALWAYS uninstall and reinstall EVERYTHING. Canceled my sub and will switch to NORDVPN.. DO NOT USE EXPRESSVPN. It's junk now.

- Having been hacked before Express VPN, I can say without a doubt that my tech stack is more secure. LOVE the password vault feature and ease of turning the VPN on and off when needed, including on airplanes.

- Nothing special in the extension, it opens the desktop app on the browser; so, it's not independent app!

- I’ve been using ExpressVPN mainly for work — I’m in digital marketing, so I often need to access tools and content from different regions. It’s been super reliable and fast, which is exactly what I need during busy days. The setup is simple, and switching between locations takes seconds. It’s not the cheapest VPN out there, but the performance and stability make it totally worth it for professional use. Definitely recommend if you need something dependable for work.

- Impossible to copy/paste with Google Keep when this extension is installed... :(

- Been using ExpressVPN for years and love having it as an extra layer of security. I have it on all my devices and recommend it to everyone. I haven't experienced any issues like some and found it rather easy to use.

- Over the years that I have had Express VPN your company has make it impossible to navigate your system, even with the people your have for support! I have an account, I've had for years, when "I change computers, recently my account did not follow to my new computer. I tried several times to open a new account, which is blocking my old account, even with the help of your staff, with no Luck!!!!! Why your company can't delete one account or maintain the existing is beyond me? I would like to cancel both accounts, receive a refund if possible, and find another VPN company that does not have the problems that your company has! Rick Allen, @[email protected]

- For whatever reason, every time whe I connected to a VPN and disconnect, go to google search, it still shows the results based on the previous connected VPN. I have to disable the extension to solve the problem. Very annoying.

- Works quite well in general.

- After turning it off, it still uses the location from the VPN (Washington DC). I have to uninstall the extension to be able to use Chrome normally.

- I'm still getting a ton of popups from google

- Doesnt work in Russia. At all. When it worked before - ok, but OpenVPN never worked anyway. Also very expensive.

- this is just a stupid controller for the app, you cant use it to control the browser

- ExpressVPN is perfect I can disguise my location when I travel--expecially in CHina and then I can use programs that the Chinese don't allow.
- Anonymous
- Works well overall, but I believe that when I have the VPN turned off, it's still disrupting the location access functionality of Chrome and causing all of my search results to show that I'm located in Washington DC

- Easy to use. Love it!

- The Chrome Extension requires a separate Desktop app to function. Defeats the purpose to the Chrome Extension on certain computers. PureVPN does not have the same requirements.

- whenever i try to go onto expressvpn.com on chrome, it says that is has unsupported protocol and doesn't let me go on the website.

- I am rating this 2 stars because, while the VPN connects and works well initially, I encounter issues when switching servers or disconnecting from the VPN. Every time I attempt to do so, my Wi-Fi automatically disconnects as well. I recommend that the ExpressVPN team address this issue to improve the user experience.

- Zero stars because this extension is not a VPN. ExpressVPN apps are fine, by the way.
- Anonymous
- Requires a separate app setup.

- It blocks Chrome's geolocation even when I'm not using VPN, I wouldn't bother to dig into what else it blocks. Google maps stopped working recently and always show Washington DC, which is the default when location service is not working in Chrome. After some debugging and trail & error, I figured this extension is the cause. Disabling it fixed everything
