- (2025-05-16) Matt Curtis: I used to love this app, but it has not been working properly for weeks now. "Customer service" has not responded to my communication for 16 days. I just paid for another annual subscription and wish I had not as the app is currently worthless for me.

- (2025-02-10) davepierunc: This is great when it works! I find myself having to click through the process over and over again until it eventually downloads the new annotations. I am not sure what it is keeping it from functioning when it doesn't function.
- (2024-11-05) Marian Schembari: I'm obsessed with this app, it's the absolute BEST tool I've found as a writer. I almost exclusively read on Kindle and I'm an avid highlighter. I collect all sorts of writing inspiration but until I discovered Clippings I didn't have any use for it. I'd highlight a sentence I loved, but then do nothing with it. Thanks to this app I can now actually export everything. I'm a little unhinged and I pull everything into a spreadsheet which I then organize into all sorts of categories, but that's me and my crazy brain. But honestly, the Clippings interface itself is super helpful and I love being able to search for something by word or book. Truly, my writing has improved so much since having a clear way to organize and review all the highlights I've saved. I've had no problems exporting both manually or using the Chrome extension. After nearly 2 years of using this tool there's been one bug, which I reported to Jim, who fixed it SUPER fast and was very lovely and communicative over email. I honestly can't recommend this app enough. Such a gamechanger for writers.

- (2024-01-02) Hambone Designs: Awesome extension and website! Although I would love to have the ability to sort notes and highlights by length. I tend to highlight single words that I don't know which muddies up my quote highlights.

- (2022-05-06) Robin Turner: I've been using Evernote as my universal note-taking system forever, so when I bought a new Kindle, my first thought was "How can I get these highlights in to Evernote?" Clippings does the job very well (not just for Evernote but also, apprently for Dirve, Dropbox and Onenote), and for this reason, I'm giving it 5 stars and subscribing (which you ned to do if you want anything but very short notes). That said, there are a few improvements I'd like to see: 1. Although the ability to export citations in a standard format (APA, MLA etc.) is brilliant, some information (e.g., date) is missing. I guess this could be Kindle's fault though. 2. Related to that, additional synchronisation with Zotero or other bibliographical software would be amazing. Failing that, a BibTeX export would be neat. 3. The option to add tags on import would be nice, but I'm not sure how it could be implemented given that different books will need different tags.

- (2021-08-18) Vladimir Sadilovski: The idea is great until I discovered that if I want to handle more than 100 character of custom notes per highlight it will cost me $5 a month charged yearly ($60). This extension might be a better experience for you if you need anything else than the import/export functionality. But in my opinion a fixed price subscription of $60 a year for a few lines of code that uses published amazon and google drive APIs to import and export notes is a bit too much. Pay per use or pay per character of exported text could be a better model for some.

- (2021-05-23) Fabian Acuña Hernánez: Sadly the import does not work The message appears: > You've already uploaded all the highlights in the books you selected to import. Please make some new highlights and try again. I don't know if this is because I did an import from "My Clippings.txt" before, but I add new highlights and it doesn't recognise through the extension.

- (2021-03-15) Terryl Givens: negotiating the procedure to import notes to evernote is quite difficult. Once you have it down (and write it down for future use!) the program is brilliant. Just downloaded the new paid version. It is absolutely fantastic. Customer service is A+. This is my single most valuable app that I use as a reader/researcher. Automatically updates all new highlights and notes in my library of hundreds and places neatly in Evernote.
