(2019-10-17) Captain Obvious: I used this until I found Note Extractor (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/note-extractor-for-kindle/ibeckfniallenijicobjjgnkebkgicgm) which exports your notes and highlights to documents with one click. From there I put them in evernote so that I could have them in the cloud too!
