Hush is an extension we've created to solve this problem. It runs only in incognito mode and so doesn't disrupt everyday browsing, but when you really need to bookmark your surprise party plans, et cetera, you can do so easily from the address bar. The next time you're in incognito mode, it's then really easy to bring up pages you've bookmarked in the past. You can also easily make multiple sets of bookmarks by choosing a different password for each set. We've placed a heavy emphasis on security. (2023-03-18) Ajay Varghese: The business does not respond to any emails. If you pay for the app there is no way of canceling the payment and you will have to issue a chargeback with your bank. Avoid this at all costs.

I had to contact my card provider to challenge the renewal. I have a vision that this is set up with automation and there's actually no one there. Maybe, maybe not. Shouldn't be allowed.

(2020-09-22) James Gould: Worked for about 4 days, now I can't login with "Something went wrong" error. Opened ticket, no reply. At least I paid with a throwaway gift card, If your going to charge for an app, you have to provide support or you will have no customers.
(2020-04-08) Fly Lun: Works great, but I would love to see some new features. I'm so used to the Private Bookmarks add-on in Firefox and miss something like that. You enter the password and the Private Bookmarks folder appears in the bookmarks. You click again to log off, the folder disappears. It's also way easier to move bookmarks or whole folders to the Private Bookmarks. It's helpful especially when you share the computer with other family members. If this is possible on Chrome, it well get the fifth star.

(2019-11-18) Peter Williams: A complete and utter waste of time and a true piece of crapware that does the square root of sweet Fanny Adams. Install the Hush Chrome extension then bookmark a page, now view the bookmarks that Hush has supposedly saved. Guess what? Like magic all of those bookmarks have now disappeared. All those bookmarks you saved assiduously have gone, forever.
(2019-10-04) Andrew Cartwright: Developers haven't been heard from on official channels since May 2017. Hope you paid your subscription with a credit card, so you can issue a chargeback more easily because you cannot cancel your subscription otherwise.

You cannot change your email address associated with your account. And I can not get anyone to write back using the only form of contact they list a gmail address. I will be forced to contact the bank and switch cards. A real shame people like this exist only to trap people, either that or they are just incompetent coders.

(2017-12-22) Danilo Guda: In order to import your Chrome bookmarks, you have to pay a recurring monthly or yearly fee, which I did. After I paid for the subscription, the "import from chrome" option vanished, and importing via an HTML file wouldn't work either. Extremely buggy, would not recommend. (2017-06-19) David Smith: This was fine until a chrome upgrade disabled it. I could not re-enable it. I reloaded it and my book marks were all gone. Maybe the guys who did this mean well, but they are not competent. Don't trust their extension with anything you care about.

As another user noted on April 25, entering my password delivers a blank white screen. This started happening about a month after I installed Hush. I have the encryted bookmark data from an older version, however the import seems to work. It accepts the password and says "Import successfull", but when I go to "Imported bookmarks" the folder is empty. What is going on? Are your decryption scripts not working with data from older versions? Please help.
