Do you ever play along with a YouTube video to practice a song or learn from a music tutorial lesson? When you need to master a song in a different key you can use this tool to pitch shift the audio, repeat a section in a loop or slow down the video to get a hang of it quicker.
Go to a video site like Youtube or Vimeo, select a music video, and open the extension to get started. Do you want to pitch shift an mp3 file? This could be a faster way!

Why not make it a separate extension have the Classic back and have this version separate so you the devs can do what you want with this version. Yea it did get an update it still feels like the old one is still better due to this one have problems like no exit button, cracks and pop still there, feels like the smoothing got messed up and also the smoothing button is gone to.

The key modification is also great in helping to find the right key for the singer and "modify" accompaniment to the needed key. It all works great as the extension preserves the sound quality of the original video. It is simply AWESOME! :)

- (2023-10-19) Trevor Hart: Why didn't YouTube even think this in the first place? This extension, alongside the Android app NewPipe, allow you to mess with the pitch and speed. I like to put the speed at 1.04x, as a way to mimic a NTSC-to-PAL transfer of said content. Yeah, I'm a geek.

- (2023-09-27) awxii: I've always loved using this extension over the years, but I think there's a bit of a small bug that needs to be fixed. If you try to slow down a YouTube video after enabling this, it doesn't work and glitches out? You can still slow down videos with the actual extension itself, but not slow a video down with the actual YouTube settings, because it's overwritten by the extension's speed when trying to do so. The extension's speed is supposed to adjust automatically and sync to the YouTube video speed, but it stopped working? It's a little inconvenience for me personally but I'd love if you could plz somehow fix this thx.
