The "Stop AutoPlay Next for YouTube" extension permanently disables YouTube from auto-playing the next suggested track by rejecting access to a module that is responsible for loading the next suggested tracks. It also dims the next playing item in the right sidebar area of the YouTube pages. The extension also turns the auto-play button off in the player area.
Note that after installing this extension, the next track suggestion box is blurred out and there will be no more slider button in the box. You can change the opacity of this box or hide it by setting the opacity value to zero.

- works for me, i wanted it because i have many tabs of yt open so cycling through them i have to wait for them to buffer and then stop, plus the pause screen shows the thumbnail, thats a plus

- It doesn't work, unfortunately. The latest version of macOS, the latest version of Chrome. I installed the plugin, but after the video ends, the next one automatically starts playing, meaning nothing has changed in the behavior of the default player.

- It worked but since a few days ago it stopped. There is a message inside all extensions page: service worker (Inactive) Even if i'm reactivating the service worker... it is disabled automatically. So, it might be smth with the google adblockers ban which is a big war now... or who knows, maybe somebody will say it. I still won't rate it under 5 stars because it warked flawless when it worked. Now i'm so annoyed with so many clips playing around even if i'm just touching by mistake a window full of youtube clips. Cheers team, maybe you find why it does that and if not, i loved the time i spent having it working!

- Perfect, it didn't matter how many times I disabled the autoplay button when I refreshed the page the autoplay was back on.
