No Playlist Autoplay For YouTube
When you finish a video in a playlist, the next video won't start unless you click on it. You can toggle this on and off.
When a video in a playlist ends, the next video doesn't start until you click on it.
Click the extension icon to toggle this behaviour on and off.
(No refresh of YouTube is required after toggling.)
Alternatively use the shortcut (ctrl+shift+y), which can be changed at chrome://extensions/shortcuts
Enjoy.

Seems to have stopped working Aug 2025
7/14/25 I was getting so annoyed that my watch later kept autoplaying whenever I wanted to go down to read comments. This finally made videos end normally again.
Worked perfectly, thank you
3rd July 2025 it works!!! Also for Watch later! Thank you so much! Just restart your browser (the extension should say that). The only downside is that the button is not really intuitive, I don't really know in which state it is. Had to test it.
24.06.2025 it works, just make sure to restart your browser.
Didn't work at all, I'm disappointed as it's highly rated. Maybe it needs updating?
just to the point
it's not working in current chrome version 134.0.6998.165 (Build oficial) (64 bits)
Been using for over a month; works as advertised with no noticeable bugs.
I think it worked a bit ago but it doesn't today. Tried it with the Pause icon (service active, I think?) and again with it off. I refreshed the webpage each time. I suspect the most recent Chrome update broke it. Chrome version 134.0.6998.35 (got it today).
does what it says, says what it does
Thanks, YouTube, for requiring me to download an extension for basic functionality.
Youtube sucks and their executives should unalive themselves.
Doesn't work. Have a feeling YT change something on their end as every other extensions that does the same don't work either
Doesn't work as of February 21, 2025
edit: now that it's been updated, it works again. still the only extension out there that actually stops the playlist from autoplaying. thanks to the developer for the fix!
THANK YOU my hero
Works as intended.
Works great, tested it out on a 1 hour video and it didn't fail to impress me. Keep up the good work, I could really use this when browsing and watching youtube.
been using this for a long time and it works great. dev, please update for "best practices"; chrome is trying to get me to uninstall.
Works like a charm, thanks! Hopefully you'll keep it updated to use "Chrome best practices" so it continues to work.
Works great
great works like intended!
Stopped working. Attempted reinstall but still won't stop the playlist from autoplaying.
It worked wonderfully at first. After about a week it just stopped and I cannot make it to work.
Finally an extension that works, thank you!!!
Finally, something that works. If it doesn't, just restart your chrome.
google "youtube playlist autoplay button greasyfork" for a better version of this without all the bugs and refreshing
It doesn't even have an interface, it just works!
Does not do the one thing it sets out to do. UPDATE: NEVERMIND LOL
The only extension that actually works
Simply works. No tinkering, no-nonsense, direct and efficient. Thank you so much for this!

This is possibly one of the best (if not the best) extensions for youtube. It saves time, and saves your mental health from YT engineers and their ignorance to your basic needs.

Works perfectly. It's a bit annoying having to refresh when I toggle it but it gets the job done. Very surprised it still works considering it hasn't been updated since 2021

it worked perfectly, but it suddenly stopped working. i don't know of any other extension that works, please fix

does not respect being turned off edit: i've figured it out further. after a restart, there is a chance that the extension icon will display as a dimmed play button indicating that the extension is disengaged, but getting to the end of a video in a playlist still pauses as if the extension is still engaged. clicking the extension once does not change the icon from the dimmed-play, but does on subsequent occasions toggle it between dimmed-play (off) and bright-pause (on). this bug means that on restart this extension has not only the capability but probability to lie to users, deceiving them about its state. this is an urgent error that a restart is needed to effect enablement change is annoying but at least it is honestly disclosed on the extension description

Does exactly what it's suppose to. It's insane that this isn't a native feature on YouTube.
