Description from store Time Snatch boosts your productivity by allowing you to limit the amount of time you spend on distracting websites. You can completely block off a website or allow yourself to enjoy it for a few minutes (or hours) per day. After navigating to a distracting site you will be redirected to a productive one of your choice or to our default inspiring web page that will throw motivating quotes at you. Time Snatch is lightweight, reliable and secure. It gives you the flexibility to block and manage each website individually. Any comments, suggestions and ideas are welcome! Your feedback is invaluable and the extension will evolve depending on YOUR needs. Expect frequent updates and quick responses. The "Read your browsing history" permission is needed to check whether the current website you are visiting matches any of the ones you have blocked. The extension never saves, sends or uses any of this information for other purposes. You can verify this by checking the open-source code at https://github.com/Thinkorswim/time-snatch.

  • (2023-02-21) Barren Wuffett: The "Global time budget" is a great idea, but is not executed well. There should be an option to add websites to the blocked websites list without setting a time allowance for them, and then when you use the websites on the blocked list, it will use the global time budget for the time allowance.
  • (2022-06-30) Patrick: Of all the website blocking extensions, this is the best one. The only thing I wish is that it stopped counting down if you forget to close the tab on a blocked website. Sometimes I'll do that, and my time will run out for that website without me being active at my computer.
  • (2021-11-10) Mikhail Chumakov: This is a great extension! It's really helpful! A few suggestions for further success: - It would be really useful to have several time intervals for the Nuke block - Unfortunately there is impossible to set Nuke block from 23:00 till 17:00 (for having a few available evening hours ) - I'd like to have it in other browsers as well :)
  • (2021-03-29) Giovanni Alcantara: lifechanging! can't imagine going back to procrastination days 😍
  • (2020-07-01) noK: Amazing, it doesn't ask for special permission and it's really simple to use, specially after the update that added the time slots. All the other extension ask for "Read and change your data" which is really unnecessary. TY!

  • (2022-06-30, v:2.1.1) Patrick: Pause countdown if mouse is active
Sometimes, I forget to close the tab on a blocked website when I leave my computer. When this happens, the countdown continues all the way down to zero, without me being active. It would be cool if the countdown paused after X seconds (customizable) if inactive.
  • (2021-06-16, v:2.1.1) Bee: nuke not working
I really like this extension so far. One issue I'm having is the nuke option doesn't work. I am trying to block a website from 10 pm to 8 am but it doesn't work.
