Domain Blocker is written to be as efficient as possible, in terms of speed (CPU) and memory (RAM).
The main idea is that there's little meaning to use predefined blocklist consisting of tens of thousands rules when you'll ever use only small percentage of it. In Domain Blocker you build the blocklist as you go along.

- This app was working better than ANY other app in chrome web store. I am angry chrome removed it. I had invested several years in curating the domains I wanted to block and all my work and collection was trashed by chrome apparently as I can't find any way to recover my block list. I'll be trying other browsers to find one that cares about users.

- amazing extension, i dont see why does chrome say it doesnt follow best practices for privacy, but personally for me i have it from a long time and its working perfectly, blocking exactly the domains i pick, great work

- This is one of the best background URL blockers available, and I hope it gets updated to Manifest V3 so that it continues to be available. No other blocker (that I'm aware of) can be refreshed to show what URLs a site is loading in the background, and then let you block them - even using wild-cards. Allows one to clean up a lot of sites unwanted hidden URL loads - and makes things faster.

- This extension does work you need to take out the first bit of the link for example www. http:// https:// and then paste the link or select it from the lists on the right. I've been using this extension for ages now and never had a problem its excellent at locking trackers, pop ups and redirects. It's a must have extension.

- To those who say it doesn't work, it actually does and you just need to know how to. Just put something like "www.youtube.com" without the "https://" on the blocklist to get websites like YouTube blocked. You can also put "*.www.youtube.com" to make that site like YouTube as an exception from being blocked

- keeps those shady .xyz websites out of my computer. easy to block out every weird domain name you see , then find the avatars for youtube no longer appear or similar. Keeps facebook out of your reality. Awesome extension please use & support if you can.

- I can't get it to block nytimes.com. I even tried the wild card but nytimes.com still shows in search results. It's a pain when I'm searching for important info and some of the the most relevant results are news sites with a paywall. We already have too many ads

- Simple. Copied a list of sites I want blocked, pasted it into the extension, and those sites are blocked. No limits on number of sites blocked, like BlockSite has (they limit you to just 6 in the free version!) Thanks Peta Sittek!

- The simple machine and UI are great. However, it is very annoying that the tabs of blocked URLs are still open. I would like it to close it automatically!!!!

- As a fellow software engineer with 36yrs, most of which developing commercial applications, I have to say VERY NICELY DONE Sir - and THANK YOU for sharing your work and your talent with the world (for FREE). I VERY rarely give feedback, as I very rarely have much nice to say about most software out these days. And I was hesitant to use this extension, and have only 1 other that I use (uBlock Origin). But I am VERY happy I tried it out - it works EXACTLY as claimed, and PERFECTLY thus far which I expect will continue to do so. The UI is minimal, as it should be. Not overly complex, makes sense, easy to use. I could not ask for more. Andd I also very rarely recommend apps to friends and colleagues, but I have been recommending your app. So again - WELL DONE, very nice app, and THANK YOU again. - some domain like clean apple.com-clean-mac.site are very annoying. its good to block all of them
