Almost every website uses services like (retargeting) ad networks, analytics or social media buttons. Popular websites even load over 73 of these external services in the background. They do this to profile and track you with the goal to improve conversions or to sell your profile. TRACKER DATABASE
UltraBlock maintains a manually checked tracker database with 5.471 hostnames of external services. These services are categorized into Advertising, Analytics, Social and Essential. Services that are not necessary for a good browsing experience are marked as 'unnecessary'. With this database UltraBlock automatically blocks ads and trackers that you do not need. UltraBlock shows you exactly what services are loaded in the background of the websites that you visit.
PRIVACY PROTECTION
UltraBlock protects your privacy in as many ways as possible. It starts by blocking content from services that are marked as 'unnecessary' in the UltraBlock tracker database. This immediately cleans out over 80% of trackers only leaving unknown or new trackers. SERVICE INITIATORS
When the publisher of a website installed Google Analytics the code is loaded directly via the HTML of the publisher. In other words the publishers website is the initiator of the Google Analytics script. But when a publisher installed a service like DoubleClick (Google product) then DoubleClick will also load: Google Syndication ,Google Static, 2MDN and sensic.net. In this case the initiator is DoubleClick and not the website of the publisher. When you open the UltraBlock pop-up and click on a service you'll see the label Initiator. This shows what the initiator of the service is. If a service was initiated by another service and not the website you're visiting we'll show an 'e' in front of the service in the service list.
SEE IN WHICH COUNTRY A SERVICE STORES YOUR DATA
If you open the Ultrablock popup, you can see in which countries the services that are loaded store your personal data. By temporarily pausing Ultrablock and allowing all services to load, you can see exactly which external services are loaded per website and in which country they store your personal data.

Just a detail and i hope u can fix it please, some sites whit media content like online tv (www.televisa.com), the extension blocks the video player and there is no way to unblock. If you could add an option in "Unknown" to unblock the specific site, it will be just perfect. I Use this extension all the time, but when i go to some sites with onlinetv, have to deactivate. Anyway, congrats, and once again thanks so much.

It's my first adblocker like solution because i believe ad's are in essence a good thing. UltraBlock gives you lots of controle over what you want and dont want to block. Sometimes, i shut down UltraBlock with one simple push on the button. And being a webdeveloper i like it that you can see what kinds of thirth party things are being loaded on a website.

Hello, today I realized that UltraBlock just does not work anymore. The plugin seems to be active, but the switch "Block known trackers" is in the off position. Enabling it only changes the UI but the settings does not persist -> When I reopen the UltraBlock window the switch is in off position again (in addition there is a text "UltraBlock is now disabled"). Not happy with version 1.5.0. Seems to be an issue with some web sites on first hit; their page is blank. I'm from vietnamese. My English ability is limited so hopefully you will understand ^^. Initially the extension worked pretty well, but later it did not work why it blocked some websites ( I use nano adblocker + nano defender, but I'm sure the problem is not in these two utilities), and in the hope that it has a good site filter like the Privacy badger extension, I found quite a few sites. Add-ons allow you to perform additional blocking in their contexts that your extensions have not yet suggested (so I try to use both to offset each other), but because of a conflict between your extensions And they should have me off, hopefully there will be some minor improvements and I will see that in a day. The use of some information, and communication whether I think is possible, but expect it to be anonymous too (slightly difficult bit ^^), it is also very worthy vs the "free", I think so!
