Description from store Use the Window Tiler extension to quickly and easily position your Chrome windows and tabs. Quickly choose from dozens of layout options, or easily collapse all your windows into tabs and vice versa. Features: Dozens of layouts for many scenarios Quick tab exploding/imploding Multiscreen support in Chrome versions 33+ Note: Recognizing multiple displays is not currently well supported by the Chrome app API. Because of this it may only be possible to manage browser windows if they are in your primary screen. Multiscreen support has been tested and will work in future versions of Chrome. If you need multiscreen support, download the most recent Canary release of Chrome.

  • (2020-10-26) Nathan MacLeod: I really love this extension - I am using a Chromebook and I now use this extension to organise my windows. I have tried out several other tiling window managers for Google Chrome but this one is definitely the best one I have tried so far. THINGS TO IMPROVE ON: - Make it easier to tell that you can scroll on the popup window (e.g lower the height of the whole popup window) - Improve the intuitiveness of it (it might be a bug but I have to click a layout in the popup window several times to make it work)
  • (2017-06-29) Carl Page: REally great for quickly fixing Chome after MacOS resizes all my windows on my external monitor, to the laptop screen size. This happens when the external monitor gets turned off. Wish it had more choices of window patterns though. My 4k screen needs more windows at once!
  • (2016-03-30) Pablo Pazos: Now is not working properly, need to click twice on the layout to make it work. Doesn't work well with a second monitor on windows, or multiple desktops on macos.
  • (2015-08-11) Doug Holbrook: Exactly what I was looking for to make managing windows on Chromebook easier. Thank you! Please add support for more than 4 tabs.
  • (2015-06-11) Spencer Gulliver: Simple, useful tool for managing several active windows at once.
  • (2015-01-17) Tibor Štujber: Very usefull tool, frugal to using memory - it makes its job and leaves memory cca 10 seconds after clicking on its icon - I love especialy this quality of W.Tiler and therefore this extension will never be removed or disabled on my PC unlike some others, which incredibly devour RAM.
  • (2014-10-06) aaron floch: I tried Niftysplit which was nice, however, this app does exactly what I need. I may update this with more use.
  • (2014-09-08) Sheldon Kerr: Tried a lot of ordering extensions. This one is the best.
  • (2014-04-30) Brad Attaway: With keyboard shortcut support this would be a killer app. As it is, it's merely necessary ;-)
  • (2014-03-18) Tyler Wolfe-Adam: One of the nicer window tiler extensions (in my opinion), as the quick exploding/imploding is very nice. Although, it currently doesn't support more than 4 open windows.
  • (2014-01-10) Dan Young: Pretty nice! One arrangement that I'd like to see is tiled vertically at full width, instead of vertically at partial width. There's a tiled-full-horizontal option, but I'm trying out a monitor in portrait and a full-width vertical tiling would be really nice. Otherwise, nice extension!
  • (2013-12-07) Chad Ikeda: Most helpful extension I've ever used!! Saves me so much time!!

  • (2018-11-15, v:1.2.0) Mike Beaumier: Feature Request: Keyboard Shortcuts, Layouts for Portrait Oriented Monitors
Great extension. A really awesome feature would be to add support for keyboard shortcuts, such as: - Snap window to left-half / right half - Snap window to top-half / bottom half - Snap windows to predef. configuration Also, for wide-screens, 1/4 window divisions can sometimes be too narrow. 1/3, 2/3 would be helpful (i.e. Snippets program for OSX). Thanks!
  • (2017-06-22, v:1.2.0) Ryan Chandler: 4 Tabs aligned horizontally
Potentially very usefull for me however, from what i can see it does not support 4 windows tiled horizontally (4x 480px width windows on a 1080p screen) am i missing something, is this a indev feature or is this not possible under software limitations? thanks
  • (2016-09-08, v:1.2.0) Antonio Parra: I would gladly pay for it if...
...you could only make it work like Divvy. Best.
  • (2016-05-24, v:1.2.0) Pablo Pazos: latest version not working
I removed this extension that was very useful in the past due it is not working correctly. The problem is that the layout needs to be clicked twice to activate. Another issue that I have previously was on Mac OS with more than one desktop and more than one browser screen, the layout gets crazy.
  • (2015-08-11, v:1.2.0) Doug Holbrook: More than 4 Tab support
Please add options to support more than 4 tabs.
