Magnifying Glass (Hover Zoom) is a lite addon that enables you to magnify a portion of a webpage with a click of a button.
Please click on the toolbar button once to see the magnifying glass. Then move your mouse to see the magnified page within a circular section. If you want to hide the magnifier, simply click on the toolbar button once or click anywhere on the page. This addon has also an options page to adjust the magnifier zoom level and coverage area. Moreover, the toolbar button serves as an ON|OFF switch to turn the addon ON or OFF.
Note 1: when you install the addon, it is turned off. Please click on the toolbar button once to activate the addon. The toolbar icon is red when the addon is active and grey when it is inactive.
Note 2: if you want to change the zoom level, please visit the addon's options page.

- Magnifies by lowering the resolution so the usefulness is limited. Requests permissions it doesn't need for such limited functionality. Will disappear with any click so it is quite efemere.

- Very straight to the point, isn't buggy at all, and requires minimum to no memory at all. Amazing! ⚠️ One thing to add in the future though: perhaps a rectangular tool? Everything else is great!

To make it work for LIVE youtubers we would need: 1) A rectangular lens 2) A keyboard shortcut to activate and deactivate 3) Have an optional mode to Keep it open even on mouse click ( and have the "activate button "in 2 deactivate on second key press ) Thanks

- awesome. I sometimes read japanese comics on my pc but often some kanji are too small to see from so far away and this is a better fix than having to lean in all the way lol

- Excellent. Requires no special permissions or site access, is less than 1 MB. You can zoom in first using command-+ a few times, then use the magnifier to really zoom in big time.

- This is probably one of the better magnifying glasses to use on the the web especially on a Chromebook. However it would be so much easier to use if the mouse pointer was at the end or around end of the circle. Having it in the middle, makes it difficult to direct and see where your pointing it off too and makes it difficult to "steer". Also usually we read paragraphs, and their in rectangular form, so changing the magnifier to a rectangle or square would be so much more convenient for reading purposes.

- I would say this is a wonderfull extention but the bad thing about this is in full screen u can really use it there should be a button that allows you yo use it in full screen
