The sound is enhanced, almost like a Hifi amp and big speakers! A must-have! • (2023-11-04) Mike H: I use this app on my windows 10 desktop in my google chrome browser. I've tried a few other equalizers and the high end was weak at best and sounding tinny and over compressed/distorted at worst. This equalizer is even with even gain without changing the quality, high end or low. This is the closest I have found to the RealTek equalizer I lost when I had to recover my pc after crashing. I wish it could be applied to windows 10 instead of just google chrome, but I'll take it and so far I am happy with it.

• (2023-08-13) Namizu: good, was the only one that worked! the top equalizer extensions had dumb problems like just redirecting you to another addon website to download it (shady), and the other one only had presets instead of sliders

However it needs more adjustability +-12db is normally enough but with this EQ on the 64Hz band it's just really not. An easy solution to this would be to have a "2 pass" button like VLC.

• (2022-11-11) GIPeN: really good, with presets and custom sets! very useful to remove excess bass from podcast or radio programs where you need to hear the dialogues clearly. But is really annoying to have to be disabling and enabling the extension because it stops working and you have to enable from the extensions manager again and reload the tab
• (2022-11-10) Captain Farrell: The user interface is is clear and uncluttered. There are no vu meters or any graphic display of the equalisation. There is no need for them. If used in conjunction with Windows built-in volume mixer, you can view the output that is going to the sound card. This is often referred to as GAIN STAGING - which is a new name for an age old technique of balancing inputs and outputs. 100% is my vote because everything works. If you save a custom sound balance and want to use it again - IT WORKS when retrieving it. I have tested many similar apps that fail to deliver. Would like to see a "Stay on Top" feature, or a "View While in Full Screen" option, because if you are in full screen and want to adjust or tweak your sound balance you have come out of it to access the app. Summary If you want an EQ app that has loads of pretty visual graphics and loads of gizmos (compressors, limiters) - then this app is not for you. If you want an app that does what is says - then its the one for you.

• (2022-06-14) sesh: This has the same UI as the "Audio EQ for Chrome" extension, it was removed and only available on GitHub. I highly recommend it but This seems to be an Actual equalizer in the same vain as it. Other EQ's arent actually EQ's but some form of bad "modulator". They make a blue thing pop up on the tab, like they're abusing some hidden feature of Chrome instead of directly interacting with the sound. If your system lags, those "EQs" stop/glitch out until the CPU recovers. THIS extension is what you need.

I was tempted to break out my old Radio Shack unit and make my spaghetti even more complicated. I'm grateful there was another option.
