List Highlighter helps you focus on what you're working on.
Trello boards can fill up with multiple lists pretty quickly. List Highlighter helps you make the important ones stand out. You can change the list background colour, count cards, and break up long lists with headers and separators.
It's been a long time coming, but with version 4 you can set your own highlighting rules, based on any list title text you like.

- Indispensable plugin. Atlassian should buy it! (and stop breaking it!) Note the bad reviews are not the developers fault. Trello updates are released and then he has to hustle to fix Highlighter after the fact, which he happily does. Happened Oct '23 and Jan '24. Just email him when Atlassian breaks it; then buy him some coffee with the donate button.

- Invaluable companion to Trello, adding crucial functionality that isn't supported natively. Extension was briefly broken when Trello made changes; developer responded very quickly via email and with a fix.

- Not completely broken. The opacity settings seem to still work. My lists that are set to less than 100% opacity are still transparent but the color highlighting is gone. So all my lists are the same color again.

- This is exactly what I was after. I just prefer to have different columns for tasks in different workstreams, but lots of identical grey columns was really not working for me. Now they're each a distinct colour and it brings my trello board to life again! Thank you :-)

- The hashtag feature was removed from trello, so the action like adding # in list name doesn't make a hashtag. Therefore, this extension doesn't work anymore. It used to be a really useful extension, but now, so sorry! Hope you have an update soon !

- List Highlighter was my favorite thing in the world, but now it's not working for me. When I create a header card or separator card, it works, but when I refresh my browser, it stops working. Any ideas? I'm using Chrome on my macbook and it's all up to date.

- Just installed this, I'm amazed Trello doesn't have this, this plugin makes it so much easier to organized list and makes my board look much better!

- I wish this would either play nice with the Trello Fold extension, particularly its collapsible section headers, or that your section headers would make collapsible sections. But I really like this app otherwise! The color and opacity options and rules are really great.

- Great, simple upgrades without the privacy concerns. Most other Trello extensions want access to your browsing history. This one works great and its access is only limited to Trello.
